on a weekly basis. No worries, they didn't reveal the names of the employee, so, I am not breaking any TER guidelines. He kinda reminds me of myself, however, I do it daily, LMAO. Anyhow, can't say I'm not guilty of it in the past. Just a reminder, if your gonna be on TER, or visit any kind of escort sites at work, its better if you use your own computer and have your own internet source.

Its so obvious when you use the companies computer, because they give you a disclaimer and you have to agree with the terms and condition before using it. Doesn't surprise me, there are many hobbyist here in DC, I wouldn't be surprise if my next door neighbor who is a devout christian hobbies, LMAO.

It's safe to assume that the admins in your company knows where you've been, when, how long and etc.
The guy must've been quite an idiot to browse such sites from work. Even with incognito/private/porn mode, it only deletes information stored on your computer ad can trace your network usage.

You are better off with private smart phone, but even then Feds can order the carrier to submit network log, if they want you bad enough.

Private mode on browser only hides your tracks from the browser point of view.

For the less computer savvy folks:
Your computer (tablet, laptop, notebook, smart phone, tower / desk computer, server, etc..) all have a MAC address- a unique identifier that is tied to your wireless card or your wired (LAN/Ethernet) port.
That MAC address can be correlated to an IP address- the address you need to navigate through your home/work/roaming network connection out to the Internet, which you commonly access using a web browser, email client, or social media website.
All networking devices have a unique MAC address and an IP address tied to them.

The application that makes it possible for you to "surf" the web and do searches for websites that have "big tit MILF" is DNS- domain name system.  It takes IP addresses and converts them to names- typically web site names. However, guess what can get logged?  That's right your IP address ( so it doesn't matter if you have private browsing on). And then guess what the IT team (sys/network/firewall/server/proxy engineer) can do?  You guessed it again- translate that IP address back to your corporate assigned machine with it's own unique MAC address.  At which point they go look at the "last user logged in" to the machine and if it's your username- OUCH.  They don't have your hands in the cookie jar, but all that needs to happen is the IT Team to start logging/capturing every packet coming from your machine out onto the corporate network- and You Are Toast.

And for the home/mobile users- yep you can get tracked too. There's a little bit more anonymity due to the sheer volume of home users on a network, but also because the home service providers don't monitor traffic.  You can get found out as well- as someone mentioned in another reply, if they are going to get you, they got you.  The biggest worry home/mobile users have is a family member/SO coming across this website or others- then it doesn't matter what you say, You Are Burnt Toast.
Using a proxy server to hide your identity helps- as long as someone isn't monitoring traffic to/from the proxy server.

Hiding your identity out on the internet is possible- just very hard and complex. Technology is constantly enabling companies to track usage, and users for completely valid reasons, but also to assist in notification of attacks.  That same technology can be used to track a poor hobbyist who is not harming anyone, but is just trying to get his horizontal mambo on.

The best advice I saw: use your private wifi if you are at work -stay off a corporate network and be sure to erase all your tracks at home.

Some phones allow you to tether Wifi, and I'd recommend hobbyist to do it. Sprint is a good company because they have unlimited data. I mean, if you already have a smart phone, then your paying for the data. Why not take advantage of it?

Anyhow, the Wifi off my mobile device is still good. I wouldn't recommend it for watching or downloading movies. However, for general stuff like this, its fast and convenient. Also, companies can't tap into it without my password.

I think the reason why some of these guys do it from their companies computer is because they are too busy, LMAO. Its never too busy once your caught. Yeah, I'd hate to explain that to the supervisor, LMAO. "Umm.. Um... It was an accident?"

I own my own business so it is less of a problem than using the home computer and forgetting to turn on "in private" browsing

I started using Tor browser. I heard about it on NPR while driving to work one day. I was a little confused at the explanation there, but I got that it was a super private browser sort of thing. I looked it up when I got home and the concept seemed sound. The browser itself actually has to have firefox to work with. Tor is just a proxy p2p network you hook up to hide your tracks. Look up the details on the web, they'd explain it way better than I could. Probably wouldn't help you if you were inside a monitored network like the OP was talking about. It's more of a home internet thing. On a funnier note: with Tor, I keep getting CAPTCHAs in languages I can't identify. I can't tell if that's an accent or an umlaut or whatever those little half circles are.

It does help a bit in that usernames and passwords are not remembered. So inquiring minds can't just click through and see your history, where you've been and what you're up to and access your accounts.

For the truly concerned about security you need to mask your ISP from your destination.
