ever discuss rates? This info should be on her site or profile. When a gent tries to discuss rates it really freaks me out. Did you check out all her info before making a 3H drive? Doesnt make sense to me to drive all that way and not even know how much you're spending.

My rates are clearly posted on my website.  This could be a dangerous practice.  You have to be careful what you discuss in email and over the phone.  Too many questions can be perceived as LE....Just my opinion. I also think that your driving time should not affect a provider's rates.

I was just thinking if a respected/credible hobbyiest...(with references) was willing to take a day off and drive 3 hours just to see you......you would be flattered and there might be a little wiggle room.

But I do understand, but I must add that it's been my experience that sometimes rates may be negotiable.  I just believe some provider are much more firm on their rates than others. You do run the risk of pissing the provider off by asking, though.

I don't know why you expect immunity from "smart ass comments" on this one.

No, it shouldn't factor into rates. Why should it? No one is forcing you to make a trip of that or any length to see a working girl. If you are willing to make a drive of that length to see a working girl, then you should also be willing to pay her asking rate without any discount or consideration.

Of course, if a working girl is willing to "pay" you for your time spent traveling to see her, then consider yourself lucky.

Read his post more carefully. He never said that he actually made the 3 hour drive yet. He was postulating a hypothetical situation. I give him credit for contemplating this questionable course of action first instead of actually doing it. He's thinking ahead.

Are you saying you want a discount because you drove 3 hours to see a gal. Because if you drove there and didn't get the rate you hoped for. What the heck happen at the door? Im curious. Did you leave or stay? What if she agreed to your haggle price. If you showed up and she switched up the rate on you, you would have been pissed.

Why would you expect a discount, not being rude or anything, but honey you could have haggled at the house, verse putting gas in the car, driving 3 hours. Im just saying. Sounds like too much energy being wasted, you can haggle Susie down the street.

upsell. Definition: to try to persuade a customer to buy a more expensive item or to buy a related additional product at a discount ... The shit isn't cool when clients do it and it isn't cool when providers do it.  However negotiating rates nothing wrong with that i do it all the time, for example i would love to see you Sara, but your rate on your website says 400.00 my budget is 350.00. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't no harm no foul. Same with Brothels the rates are negotiated, perhaps you are confused with the difference between up selling and negotiating.

To think that you're entitled to a lower rate because you drive 3 hours, not cool not cool at all you will come off as a jerk/jack. You are going to do what you want to do anyhow, my advice don't do it.
