This is fun. Here's a direct tie between the Mormon church, Arizona's "paper's please" law, top officials in the Arizona Republican party, and a Neo-Nazi who just went on a shooting rampage.

I wonder if this ranks as more or less ethical than putting a composite character in a book.

Don't worry Phil. We know. See no evil, hear no evil.

He talked about how his ideology was the only true moral one

He talked about how the state should come before the individual.

He talked about his violence being justified because his was the right way

Well, come to think of it, I guess I have talked to a neo-Nazi.

The post I replied to disappeared. It was Willie's post about talking to Nazis.  Don't know where it went, but here is my response. First, to answer your question, no I never met a neo-Nazi, in a coffee shop or anywhere.  Lenny Bruce once said the American Nazi Party was three nuts and 20 undercover cops.

Now to your silly point: it is so easy to take the extreme position from any side and try to blast the middle. Gosh and golly, conservatives may be against illegal immigration.  Some people who don't like Hispanics are against illegal immigration.  Some people who don't like Hispanics are Nazis. Ergo, conservatives must be akin to Nazis.

Let's play your game.  Lefties believe in a greater equality in sharing the wealth.  Communists have a similar belief. Joe Stalin also espooused that belief. Joe Stalin created Gulags where millions were starved, tortured, killed, and enslaved.  Wow.  I wonder if Willie ever met a Stalinist murdering thug in a coffee shop. Or many Willie favors communist death camps.

Is is so easy to take the extreme position and tar everyone with that position.  And it take so much thought.

Hackers put more viruses on religious websites than on porn sites.

Matt says:
The righteous believe...that anything they do is right. Or, as the old saying goes: "The ends justifies the means."

Proof:""I've been a member of several churches, and witnessed the so called righteous doing unrighteous acts, but claiming what they were doing was OK in the "eyes of the Lord" because they were doing it to punish or save the unrighteous.""

Sounds like a compelling excuse for wholesale condemnation to me.:D

BTW, your views on employees right to ownership of private companies they simply work for blows your claims of "libertarian" out of the water.

From wiki's entry on Neo-Nazism:

"Neo-Nazism borrows elements from Nazi doctrine, including militant nationalism, fascism, racism, xenophobia, homophobia and anti-Semitism. Holocaust denial is a common feature, as is incorporation of Nazi symbols and admiration of Adolf Hitler. It is related to the white nationalist and white power skinhead movements in many countries."

Just so there's no confusion, I am not a Neo-Nazi. I'm about as far away you can get philosophically, from a Neo-Nazi.

How many Democrats can you directly link to the Communist Party of the United States?

...if it fell out of the sky and plopped a steamer on your face. You did notice that it's root word is "liberty", no?

Historical side note: The first person to refer to himself as a "libertarian" was a French anarcho-communist named Joseph Déjacque. He even published newspaper called Le Libertaire. His debates with Proudhon were fascinating, which I'm sure you've read. ;)

Cite a website where anyone an get the definitions changed at a whim?

With what that site just did bowing down to the Oama administration, I think it is safe to say their credibility is crap...

the self righteous, and that includes those within the church and outside of the church. And, I never said anything about Christians or anyone religious, since not every religious person is self-righteous.

So, yes I wholesale condemn the the unrighteous things that the self-righteous do in the name of righteousness! ;)

In your OP you jump to Nazis from conservatives.  Are there really so many Nazis in the GOP or anywhere in the US.

YES. IT WAS STUPID TO LINK DEMS TO STALIN or the Com Party.  Exactly as it is stupid to link GOP to Nazis.

You wanted to know if I ever met a neo-Nazi at  the coffee shop. Yeah. In  your paranoid dreams we sit around the coffee shop planning the final solution to Jews and Blacks.  Oooooppss that's me

And you believe that the head of the GOP was hooked up with Nazis.  And did the head of the GOP share goals of killing Jews?  Did the head of the GOP share Nazi beliefs in gassing people?

It is this sort of thing that just makes me sad for the country.

Yeah. We just want to forcibly conquor the world and kill and enslave all non-Aryans.  And you "connect the dots."  Sad, my friend, sad.
