It is dangerous and can blind you.  You guys have a cool observatory at the university of Nevada in north las Vegas.  They will be viewing it safely.  The eclipse start at 5:30.  I won't see it here on the east coast.

smart girl... everyone is running all over town trying to find "eclipse glasses"

LOL! I thought it was the only way to view the solor eclipse.  I remember when I was a kid and view it in Washinton St  we were not allowed to use the boxes that we made in school only my Dads welding helmets.  But on the other hand it was truly amazing to view lastnight I felt like a kid again waiting.
I got some great shoots too.
