I'm currently touring there until Sunday and staying in the Dupont Circle area, and it's a great location! Walking distance to all the good stuff and a really nice neighborhood.

Many visitors commit to a 4-5 day visit splitting time between Dupont Circle area downtown and Tyson's area in suburban VA. That seems to cover the bases. If you decide on a visit I am interested at the Tyson's area. Best of luck. I will be looking for your schedule.
