I am an artist, and for various reasons, I have been celibate for a number of years. It is not something I've worried about.
The good news is I've found this site, and I would like to know how an older -- 50s -- man gets started. Not inhibited, very intelligent and laid back.

As long as you understand the basic premise of TER - going through reviews to find a lady who fulfills your criteria for your specific purpose, you should have no problems. In addition, please look in the column to the left of these postings. Click on the FAQ for Newbies and you will get a wealth of information.
PS. As to "older" - 50s is NOT, at least not in the commercial sexual service world. In fact, you will most likely be more appreciated and sought after as a client than someone 30 and below.

I'm relatively new to this too, and was nervous. If you read the reviews in your area you really get a feel for some of the ladies, no pun intended. Find ladies with consistently good reviews, contact one and explain your situation and you're in business. I learned to trust the reviews and now I'm 5 for 5 with wonderful experiences. You'll be amazed what incredible women you are about to meet. Enjoy, your life is about to change for the better.
...look to the FAQ for newbies. Ask many of your questions there. As for your age, there are alot of guys going to the hobby for a *release* at age 50.
I for one started at age 49. I actually found getting started to be difficult at first, but kept at it...and now really can't find enough good, high quality providers to keep me happy!

It is also not a bad idea that if you like the food at one restaurant and they treat you well, to become a regular at that restaurant and go out occasionally for something more exotic when you need a little extra spice. I think you know we are not talking about food. Now I'm hungry. Still not talking about food.
All the advice so far is good. But one piece not yet mentioned is this - don't start unless your budget allows you to afford this. This activity can be addictive and you will undoubtedly meet someone who really appeals to you (I ceretainly did)! You'll find you spend more than you ever thought, and unless you're independently wealthy, there will be times when you have regrets over the financial impact.
I've seen some guys pour way more in to this than they could reasonably afford. So, just beware - if you can afford the fun, then go for it. But if you can't, give it some serious thought before you even see one girl!
