Dear miraggio,

I have no idea what transpires during your encounters...but one way of dealing with it is to follow these instructions carefully:

Don't store condoms in a glove box or in your wallet, condoms hate heat! Also, don't use condoms past the expiration date and don't open condoms with your teeth.

If you're using a latex condom, don't use oil based lubrication such as skin lotions, baby oil, Vaseline or cold cream - the oil in these products weakens the latex. Always use water based or latex compatible lubricants with latex condoms. If you must use oil based lubricants use polyurethane condoms, these are safe to use with oil.

When the time has come to cover your penis, open your favorite condoms package, being careful not to use your teeth. Place a few drops of your favorite water based lubricant inside the tip of the condom. Never let your penis touch your partner before it is securely covered.

When you put on the condom, hold the condom by the tip to squeeze out any air. Leave some space at the tip to hold any and all fluids and roll the rest down to your penile base.

If your penis has a foreskin, put the condom on with the foreskin pushed back. After you have rolled and are covered, push the foreskin forward (toward the tip). This lets the foreskin move without breaking the condom.

Place more water based lubricant on the outside of the condom. Remember, "Wetter is Better".

If at any time during intercourse the condom breaks or comes off, stop immediately and pull out. Wash your penis and put on a new condom.

After after intercourse, you should hold the condom at the base and pull out slowly. This should be done while your penis is still semi-rigid.

Throw away the used condom in the trash, not the toilet.

Never re use condoms, use a new condom every time you have contact.

Another issue could be the size of the condom you are using. Condoms are like shoes - too small may not get on properly, or too big can make it come off. Some people also put one condom on top of the other. I wouldn't recommend it...if nothing else because it deadens the sensation even more, and yes, one condom can come off and disrupt a beautiful moment while your partner feels the urge to dig around for a lost rubber. Meh.

What else could there be?

Wow, comprehensive list LG!

Over a period of a lot of sessions, I haven't noticed a problem with slippage unless there is a slight loss of erection- then the thing can get loose and start sliding. If I or my provider notices that happening, it comes off and we take a break or go back to oral.

The things I notice that both I and my providers do in addition to all the great suggestions above:

1.  Frequent check- either her hand or mine takes a little tour of the shaft in whatever position we are in and makes sure the rolled end border of the thing is still well up there where it's supposed to be- feels great and gives us both security!

2.  One provider introduced me to female condoms done a little differently than the design and it has worked very nicely in multiple ways.

The modification is to remove the cervical end ring, then lube me thoroughly, place the condom on me instead of in her, then lube the condom thoroughly.

It stays either very nicely in her or on me once penetration has begun, very easy to tell if in place.  The other advantages are also very nice- more sensation to me (closer to natural sensation) and less friction to her for men who are thick or long.

Find the right brand and type, and you won't have a problem.  I have two favorite condoms that I always use, and they never slip, even after I cum.

I take my own condoms to providers, instead of using theirs because I want to know I have a condom that is my size and good quality.

When was the last time you checked the expiration date on a condom that you did not buy?
