a provider was popular, received consistently high reviews, and you didn't want to take flak, or deviate too far from the usual scores for the lady? (Even though YOUR experience was less than stellar)? I know providers think otherwise, but I think most guys "ERR" on the side of lenient grading. (I know I do).

I will admit to two factors that might affect my scores to the high side:
1) Before I joined the hobby, my sex life had always been just plain lousy. By comparison, the sex I get now is on some higher plain of existence.
2) So far I haven't met a lady who I haven't liked an awful lot.
For the first one, am I comparing providers to civvy women, or other providers?
If anything, I think I shorted one lady a point on performance. That's the only correction I would make to any of the scores I've given.
I only had one less than stellar session, and it turned out, the issue there was her unhappiness over my previous review.
. . . but tried not to do it. I hope the other reviews don't affect my scoring in a subconscious level.
I tend to give a lower looks score than other reviewers; I guess I'm picky in looks. The performance score I give is usually higher; I don't know if I try to compensate for the low looks score or because I'm truly aprreciative of the ladies' effort.
I suspect that I may grade a bit tougher on looks than some.
After all "attractive" is a nice looking lady, but you don't see many rated that way (consistantly). "Model Material" should be exactly that, but TER is awash with them...
As to the "performance" score, I'm a GFE kinda guy. I need to fall in love for a couple of hours to rate an 8, no matter how exotic the positions...
Each and every time I see a new provider - she deserves 10's... Once in my lifetime experience - that is if I don't repeat a visit - then it would be a 20...
I'm always greatful, when the door opens and it's not Bubba and they let me in...
So far, I'll admit - I have been lucky. I have not had the door open like in the king kong movie... and the big female gorilla appear - so my looks grades have consistently been 7 and up... but for performance - well that is just another story... I had ONE that was really - really - bad news... others had consistently rated her 7-9 in performance. In retrospect I think that I rated her about right with a 5 -
You are right - in my review - I was very specific about why she received a 5 with specific comments that she made, and the specific way that she made me feel - but guess what - I took heat.
Would I do it again? yes, because I would expect others to do the same.

Performance; I give em' what they deserve.
I posted on the topic of "grade inflation" some time back, never really got a clear answer. If you look at the rules of this site, most providers aren't even eligable for higher than a 7 or 8, based on what is offered. (personally, since I am not into anal or into keeping score, I don't agree with the values implied int he rules, but then I'm not running it, so....) So the inflation problem is even bigger than it seems.
As far as looks--yes, looks are subjective, but let's face it: the most likely place any of us are going to see a 9 or 10 is on the cover of a magazine. Sorry guys, but real nines and tens don't provide, unless you're willing, like charlie sheen, to fork over 15 G's for a roll in the hay with Chloe Jones.
That said, yes, I feel I have inflated my review scores.
Don't know where you have been hobbying but I have found lots of 9's and a few 10's, often with the AMPs.
Previous scores, to me , have no bearing on my judgement. However, when writing the review, I have a tendency to focus on the positive aspects of my date, and sugar coat the negative.
I know these ladies have a tough job and am aware that certain comments could have a negative affect on a provider. I'm talking about physical features, not performance.
That being said, I have no problem exposing a ROB, and will provide details to the very last birthmark.
My scores are not biased by previous reviews, although I may comment about agreeing or disagreeing with specific things mentioned in previous reviews.
You don't see a lot of low "appearance" scores, simply because this hobby does not sustain ugly women. Not meaning to be cruel, but I don't write reviews of ugly women because I don't pay to see ugly women. Plenty of them available for free.

...I think any woman who would sleep with me deserves a 10/10, so I start out with that and then deduct points to reach the final score.
-1 for the used condom in the bathroom trash can
-1 for stifled laughter when saying "Oh, I think bald is sexy"
-1 for snickering when I take off my pants
-1 for snoring before I finish

Sheesh! Why would anyone provide other hobbyists a miscue on a provider? I would classify that as pimping for the lady!
TER is a "consumer report" on the services offered. Yes, YMMV, but over time reviews are a great guide on what to expect of a specific provider. If that provider doesn't have it, doesn’t do it or charges too much for it, the Hobbyist can make a better and more suitable choice.
This TER thing is really a “world class” true consumer based service, I wish they had this for prospective wives … ummm maybe they do at that!
If there is "inflation" in a review I think it would tend to stem from some hobbyists having a limited frame of experiential reference, especially when new to the "Hobby." Simply put they are not "worldly" and lack real life "face to face" and "body to body" experiences for comparison.
A Hobbyist that would intentionally inflate an opinion to be "kind" is being silly. To do it just to be braggadocios is perhaps plainly rude.

When I was still a little wet behind the ears I saw a lady with great scores, and kinda went along. The crazy thing is that looking back, I probably was largely at fault for things not being better, so I guess the score was probably not that inflated afterall.

Most of the ladies I see I score 7 or above. Now statistically how can that be? Why isn't there a bell curve with the ladies I review?
Two reasons. I score 7s and above because TER ensures that I only see 7s and above.
Reason 2, I won't post a negative review if the lady tried real hard and it was an issue of chemistry. I would post a negative review if I felt ripped off. Again since TER that has not happened. But it has happened in the past.
I have had reviews turned down because my scores were too low and therefore "not consistent". The providers in question were so overrated it wasn't funny but I was unable to "warn" my TER brethren.
There is no such thing as a perfect system
for one experience with a well (and highly) reviewed provider. I was tired and having perfomance problems and didn't think it was fair to her to give her a bad score or to post a high score that didn't really reflect my experience. She was a 10 in both looks and attitude, however.
When I was a newbie I had a bad experience with a girl who cisistently gets 10/10s and I knew I would get hammered by a legion of fans if I wrote an honest review so I just skipped it all together. After being around a few years I could care less so I wouldn't do that again. My problem now is that my two favorite gals are now under the radar so my reviews are pretty infrequent.
If your theory is correct, then I believe that most of the reviewers are sheep. I have seen several ladies with nothing but top reviews and they should not have been given more than a 7 or an 8 if you were feeling generous. More often than not, when I see a lone 6 or 7 score on a highly rated lady, that turns out to be the one honest score. Its pretty much a crap shoot now a days and I believe that is one of the reasons CL is becoming such a competitor to TER.
I see this issue as "men never had a chance!"
Hobbyists have positive expectations going through the door, if he gets a pretty smile, a welcome attitude, a BJ, to pops and a shoulder rub and he's a man again ... and depending on those expectations will view the session as being between a 8 and 10. That means that maybe on any scale where every attribute is a 7, the provider can score a 10+ !
Now, while very rarely reported here, if the pics are misleading,or the provider has; a fish oil pussy, ashtray mouth, a bitchy complaining attitude and a guy still gets a BJ and two pops he'll rate her off maybe a point no more than 2, about the only way the rating will tank or go to rip off status is if the provider never shows and the dude has to toss off, she's a cash and dash or , or the providers rules preclude any skin to skin contact.
Sort of gets down to did he get laid or not. We men are so damn easy to please.
