Marketing and Shelf Space

With some retail consumer goods, it's all about shelf space and placement. The companies (Coke, Pepsi; Trojan, Durex) fight or pay for more shelf space to shove their product into the buyers' faces AND lock out the competition. Eye level shelf space is way more valuable than the bottom shelf.

That's part of the reason why there are 93 variations of Coke or Pepsi. Diet, Diet Zero, Without Caffeine, Coke-Cherry, Vanilla-Pepsi ... Each variant grabs them another piece of real estate on the shelves. End caps are even more valuable.

So variants are important in grocery retail and some other retailers -- probably the soap, shampoo, shaving, and toothpaste shelves in the Walgreens and CVSs -- but I don't know how it works with condoms. I assume it's somewhat similar: more styles, colors, and flavors grabs more of the available pegs and display space. If Trojan grabs all the pegs, your product ends up in a dusty pile in the corner someplace or stays in the back room.

Now that I think about it, us guys (and hobby gals) also pay to get our goods into the available slots or slits.

The new Trojan XOXO condoms or the new Durex condoms (they're in a yellow box, but saw them the other day. It seems as though manufacturers have started widening brand offerings. If you haven't tried those two, what are your favorite in terms of feel/sensation, disability, and texture.
EDIT: Corrected typos.

Trojan magnum bareskins are my favorite, though, I wish they were thinner. Something like Sagami 0.01 but in 56mm would be perfect...

If anyone is curious about their options, this is a great resource to help find what you should be buying http://www.condom-sizes.org/condom-size-chart/condom-size-chart

Try the XL Skyn condoms. They're as close to the real thing as you're gonna get, IMO. My clients I've the Skyn line of condoms.

on my dick, but never had one up my ass, so can only comment on WEARING one.  They are nice and seem to be durable with medium sensitivity, but my favorite is Okomoto .004, thin but strong., excellent feel.  The Okomoto ,001 is the thinnest in the world, but too small for me.  A few friends with a smaller sausage LOVE them.  The .004's are available at most Japanese markets.  The .001's I had to order on Amazon and they were drop-shipped form Japan.  Be forewarned on the drop-ship delivery method:  They arrived with a customs declaration that was visible on the outside of the box that said, "Contents:  Condoms", so be careful where you send them.

Lol, to funny. I don't think I'll have an issue with delivery. The person renting my 3rd bedroom is another provider, so I don't think having boxes of heaux stuff showing up would be an issue. I've heard about the .004 ones your talking about, but have been skeptical about buying condoms from an unknown source. I like the fact that I can go to walkgreens or some established boutique sex shop for them. It give you someone to assume liability should they be counterfeits. Though, I guess in reality, one could easily put that on Amazon.

Maybe it's time to start buying condoms there...

I tried to order the Sagami's to an Amazon drop but they wouldn't do it.

But thanks for the warning about the customs label!!!

How about getting a PO box?

The fact of the condoms break in spectacular fashion and it's actually an amazing safety feature. If the tax breaks, you don't know about it, as opposed to when our standard condom breaks, you're clearly aware and can fix it immediately.

Agreed. I loooove the Skyn line and do do my clients! Great for those with latex allergies, as well.
