It's a fine balance.

One can always loose regulars, their jobs change, they loose income or they move. They feel their at risk of getting caught, or want to try and rebuild a marriage. Single ones get in a relationship.  Sometimes you outgrow each other and decide to move on.

I believe in the long term there is far more financial security  and overall profit in long term arrangements than there is in seeking constant new dates.  They become very generous, without expecting dates or favours in return.

The few that can walk into the night without advertising or net presence have careers, mistress type arrangements and a solid network with providers who will give word of mouth reference to their own gentlemen friends.

My personal balance is to make five or so new connections a year.  Advertising is up and down both on motivation and when I've lost a regular friend.

Though my ads go up and down, my website and photos are maintained. Mostly because I enjoy the creative process of thinking of my next photo gallery. Also I genuinely enjoy working on my site, it's my erotic online sandbox.

Secure enough regular clients so you don't have to advertise for new ones anymore?  Or do some of you always look for new clients, even if you get enough money from guys you see on a consistent basis?

Kidding. Mostly.

I think this depends 100% on the provider. Just like some people like to keep the same friends around them they've had since high school, other people like to constantly meet new faces. I don't think it applies to every provider, but probably most are looking for more regulars just because it's an easier life to have a consistent pattern, consistent relationships, than to be changing all the time. I think it's an interesting question, though.

am always happy to make new friends as well. When interacting on forums, word of mouth, google searches, ect  I do find that I get more requests from new clients (but that would just seem logical). I wouldn't say I personally look for new clients but I'm always glad to see new clients as well as my regulars. I love meeting new people in general and am quite the social butterfly. I truly enjoy the company of ALL my clients.

So even if you were filthy rich, you'd still look for new clients?

I don't believe I said I'm looking for new clients. I get emails on almost a daily basis from potential new clients but that doesn't mean I accept them all. I was just giving my opinion to the question you ask hun.

rich men enjoy pussy..rich women enjoy cock..the sexual forest will always be bigger than all the different trees that are in it..

Is to maximize their profit and minimize the time they spend with their customers.

If they tell you different, it's just part of the illusion.

but the NUMBER of clients in most cases. The reason rates vary is because you have some providers that need to make 4k a month and they only want to see 4 guys to do it...her rate is 1k per client. Then you have another provider who also needs 4k but might not mind seeing 10 guys a month...her rate might be 4 per client. Once a client is there, I don't much care how long he stays within reason of course, but I would never cut my rates in half and see twice the amount of guys to make the same amount of money.

So, while your statement rings true in the "work smarter not harder" aspect, it only coincides with the number of clients, and not the "time" with each, as you suggested. Oh, and I "liked" your post btw lol.

I will assume you are referring to Internet advertising.
I have 3 ways in which I "advertise" and Internet is less than 1/3 on my business.
Just because you see ladies advertised for years doesn't necessarily mean it is in an effort to attract new clients.
Often, you may need to maintain an online presence for the sake of keeping your existing clientele.
The Internet base client tends to have an out of sight, out of mind mindset.

for those very reasons. They are areas in which I can service with a day's notice, and those clients are also likely to visit nearby cities even if I am not there. You have the clients who only look for a provider when they are horny or if you are in their town, and then you have the "fly me to you" guys who plan months in advance knowing they are visiting x city at some point in the future for a convention or something.

There are 3 guys I have met in Ohio, who are pre-booked to see me in my home town months from now. so you just never know what you will attract and when if you don't put your net out. I placed an ad for Atlanta and ended up just driving to meet ONE person for a clock free in Alabama of all places lol. It was a midway point for both of us, and I for one consider him a great client now.  He is the type to drive a few hours to see the provider he wants to see, where others can't because of work or don't have the funds to pay to fly her out.

Those are some great prospects all because of you maintaining a presence.  Lots of potentials like to lurk, just to see you maintain a level of consistency.  I see y'all on my analytics.  LMAO!

Very true. There are many men who travel a lot for business, & you may only see them 2-3 times per year.. sometimes less than that. They have found regulars in each city they travel to, but for privacy reasons, cannot store ladies numbers in their phone... so they rely on the ladies ads for when they come back in town.

JT1902,

The goal for every provider is to have enough clients to make a profit.

If there aren't any profiit in the provider business, then the providers will find other methods to bring in sources of income.

I have found that the providers who consistantly provides top notch service will get top dollar for their services and those clients will spread the word about that provider. Free advertising for that provider, which in turns drums up more business for the provider, if she choses to accept more business.

Your great question is very much an open-ended question with many answers.

I think different providers have different marketing/business strategies, in line with what kind of relationship they want with clients and what other stuff they have going on in their lives.

General observation - UTR-occasional-BP posters, multi-hour minimum providers and those who emphasize 'connection' & the emotional side of GFE in their marketing, those with a static in-call location or regular schedule for hosting incalls, those with a regular schedule outside the Hobby, those who do most of their advertising off TER are definitely looking for a consistent group of frequent/regular clients... and are really successful at developing a regular group of repeating clientele.

Me? I'm new to TER & curious. I like variety & excitement. My non-hobbying schedule is fairly irregular.

So right now, I'm in the 'variety' phase - I advertise a lot on TER, I like to travel, I see a lot of people who are not from Chicago while I'm here... So I'm ultimately looking to 'cast-a-wide-net' [aka meet a lot of people] over the next 4-6 months, develop ongoing relationships with those I like/enjoy spending time with/click with, then scale back (but not stop) advertising.

I eventually plan to develop a regular incall schedule in Chi-town, but for now, I think being more spontaneous & advertising specials on the TER Ad Board allows me to meet people now who otherwise may have just added me to their bucket-list & waited a few months to see me.

same place a lot. I have regular clients in each city I visit, but having more at home makes it easier. I mean I would prefer to not have to fly out of town 2 times a month and return home exhausted, but when you can't rely on local suitors because you might know them professionally already, not much you can do.

I don't really have "client goals" as a provider, other than simply delivering what I say I will deliver, and when. I try to stay current by updating my photos, changing rates around, even getting a new website every so often, which in turn attracts more and better clients. I have no desire to take money from just anyone, and the discussion boards certainly help with that decision.

I won't keep a regular client who annoys the living hell out of me, just to have another dime that week....some certainly will. It's not regulars I seek, but GREAT regulars whom I actually love spending time with. I have 2 close friends who always call me up complaining about how much they hate so and so, yet he gives them thousands per month and they can't live without that money. That must really suck to have to depend on people you can't even stand to be with, but do for the money. Not the type of provider I want to ever be.

Just out of curiosity...  Do these 2 friends of yours complain about their clients personality?  Or about their physical traits in the bedroom?  Or both?

i consider a regular to be someone with whom i meet on an ongoing, regular scheduled meeting.  for me, most of my business i do not consider as regulars, but most i have seen before.  i have many repeat clients and for them, i will make a priority.  i, for one, do not like posting ads, so these clients are important to me.  i keep myself out there by posting on discussion boards and just keeping my name out there.  i do see new clients as well, but most do not come from advertising.
