More sex does cause me to have a lighter period.

Another effect is I also get less cramps.

For me it is the other way around. Sex= heavier and more regular periods No sex = hardly ever get a period and just a few days long instead of a week.

The heaviness of a menstrual flow depends on the thickness of the lining of the uterus just before the onset of menses.
