I live in a pretty rural area, the nearest city that ever gets a higher-end provider is 2+hrs away, so I have to use other options to find ladies to visit.  And before the usual suspects come out with the usual bullshit about only using TER, P411, etc, it just isn't a viable option so get over that part,K? The question is about an obvious scam that seems like it would be hard to work.  I saw an ad that appeared to be probably fake.  The girl was too pretty for the crummy city she was in, pics were too pro, etc.  I did an image search and got a ton of hits, more ads all over the map, but one in particular posted for the same day in another city 650 miles away.  A different phone number but the identical ad.  So I'm curious, and just because I'm a fuckhead, I sent a text to both #'s to see what I'd get back.  Both responded with the exact same verbatim text, like a script.  I played along a bit and got addresses in both locations.  So, assuming I was texting the same person because the scripted response, how do they work it?

If it's a con, there is a second part to the con that you haven't seen yet.  They need to set the hook - which requires that you have a buy in in terms of time and effort.   Like driving two hours....  It might be identity theft or maybe straight forward wire fraud - need a deposit via western union for the hotel sort of thing an hour or so before your scheduled meet.   Or an hour before she says btw I need your real name and DL number before I see you...

Lots of possibilities. I think your instincts are right -  this seems like a con.  Or maybe someone has franchised a bait and switch operation.

It could be worse... money can always be replaced.

Some web pimps are lazy, too lazy to post anything but the same ad. Very possibly there really is a girl at both locations, but neither of them are going to look anything like the hottie in the ad.

I thought of all those scenarios and they just don't make logical sense, but the logic could be the part that's missing from the plan.  As for the hook to send money, they gave me the address of the (a) hotel...

But enough people fall for it that it makes it work. The ones that give you the hotel address, like you said here, want you to show up at the hotel parking lot, then when you text them for the room number they ask you to get them a gift card and give them the numbers off the back before they give you the room number.

If you are so curious, and have time on your hands, why don't you just play along. Just make sure you are using a burner number. Obviously just don't give them your real info, and don't actually drive to the hotel. I have played along with some of those scammers just for entertainment purposes.

"The Spanish Prisoner" cons have you had in your spam email box?  Not everyone has to fall for it, just enough to make it worth the time and effort.

Guys that are horny are more likely to let their guard down, so probably a pretty good percentage fall for it, at least well beyond the break-even point.

You have at least five options.
1. Backpage
2. Seeking Arrangements (recommended)
3. Pay to have independents come visit you. (Also recommended) might be surprised at how many are willing.
4. Road trip.
5. Traditional dating.Youu don't have to hobby.

a scam. Identical texts and responses to you from different cities suggests a central location handling all the contacts and NO real girls anywhere. Tease and bait you to send a deposit or gift card numbers ... it smells.

Good luck finding and having a good time, wherever you are.

... already searched for her phone number on Google? Easy to find if there's a pimp using the same phone number for multiple girls..

A number search is the first thing I do, then an image search.  In this case the number search got no hits, which doesn't mean much, but the image search lead to ads all over the place.  This was different numbers that went (probably) to the same phone.

Imposter called it.  Some poor soul is now posting on BP that he fell for the ad I was referring to. They're using Amazon gift cards.  So you gotta be a little bit stupid along with the gullible.
