Yes, I've come across that, but that still requires me to log in and go to each link to see how the conversation is going. I'd much rather the option for email notifications.

I didn't see this mentioned before, so I thought I'd suggest it. I think it would be great to be able to have the option to subscribe to a forum or a specific thread. I've commented in a few places, and don't exactly enjoy running around checking to see how the conversation is progressing on each one. Especially since I don't spend all of my time on this site.

I have speculated that the current TER Forum software was home-brewed (and written and programmed) by TER. There is plenty of free open source forum software that has been developing over the years while TER lagged behind. TER just has "Tree/Flat" reading options: feh.  No preview. No saving of drafts. Tracking. Alerts. And other features that are common in more modern forums.

If you have a favorite forum software, please suggest it here. (Go to your favorite forum and look at the very bottom of their pages. It often says something like, "Powered by myBB" or similar.

One of the BIGGEST PROBLEMS with switching forum platforms is maintaining the archive. The freeware and commercial packages usually include tools to convert from one known "brand" to another ... but converting one-of-a-kind TER to freeware forum software would probably be a major undertaking.

Go to My TER, then My Posts.  Assuming the thread you seek is one that you have already put a post on, you can click that post and get back to the thread.  Of course, it will open up in flat mode, but you can quickly change it to tree mode

any time someone replies to your post. There are 2 checkboxes right below the emoticons, which are right belowcthecsubjextvline box. While that won't help you keep track of every thread you are interested in following, it can at least alert you to threads you posted on where someone posted a reply to you.
