Suggestion and Policy

Much like in sports, there are "judgement calls."

One persons opinion can vary greatly from another as to what constitutes "enough" graphic detail.

There is no set criteria for it so since it's TER's sandbox, they are the final arbiters and really no need to argue the point, imo, although it is an interesting debate as to where the line is drawn.

I recently sent this message to TER support after getting a review rejected for "not enough graphic detail"

{I do have to say though that I am somewhat disappointed in your insistence on graphic details of sexual acts as a criterion for publication. This site is the EROTIC review, not the detailed pornographic review and I thought that my original description of our session was very erotic without being too graphic. As you can see from my previous reviews, I have followed the lead of other reviewers and given extremely detailed lists of specific acts that took place in my sessions. Since this was the first encounter that I've had with my wife in a couples session I have had time to reflect on how these reviews are written. The women that we see provide a valuable service to the men, women, and couples that seek their services. However they are still human beings with their own thoughts, feelings, and desires and I am becoming increasingly uncomfortable describing them as nothing more than a rent-a mouth/vagina/anus. I know that many providers are conflicted. They like and need the feedback as advertisement to help them attract clients, but dislike being described in such a cold impersonal way. As reviewers, I believe that we can describe the essence of the experience in a very erotic way yet still keep the intimacy of the specific sex acts between the two or more people involved.

If you feel that this would be more appropriate in a discussion board, feel free to move it there as would like to see the opinions of other clients and providers on this subject.

Please let me know what you think about this, and thank you for your time.}

The response was that the clients complained if reviews were "too vanilla".  I thought I'd put this out there for discussion myself to get feedback from other clients as well as providers.

Thoughts

...on whether I thought it was too vanilla. There are many opinions on what's too graphic. I think mine are not too graphic but I'm sure there are those that disagree. Swimtrekr keeps his acceptable to TER without going too far. Check his and see what you think.

The review that was rejected was basically the same as you read. I just added a few sentences that were more graphic to get it accepted. I also asked my wife and Charlotte for approval before I revealed the more intimate details.  I don't have a problem being as graphic as the provider is comfortable with, but I have come to have more respect for their comfort level as to the description of the events. I read some of Swimtrekr's reviews, and I agree he is descriptive without being disrespectful.

Thanks for your input

but over time I came to the opposite position.

This is a trade, and the skills of this trade are specific benefits to the clients who have a right to know exactly what is and what is not done.  It was a provider who clued me onto this when I told her I don't like to write graphic reviews.

Gals who don't want their activities talked about in detail are free to have their reviews removed, but it helps both clients and providers to have the truth in the open.

After all, it is just squeamishness that we are talking about.  The activities are wholesome as far as I'm concerned, if if someone doesn't feel that way, they really should consider another hobby.

If there wasn't an envelope would she see you and your wife? Be honest, would she? Unlikely.

I do have to admit I'm amazed people think intimacy can come from a financial transaction. You paid her and she bumped uglies with you and your wife. Intimacy takes time. It is made up of the highs and lows of life. It's a partnership that crosses many lines, not just a bed.

They are pros and pros get reviewed. No different then talking about athletes or entertainer

And here all this time I thought they were PEOPLE... you know, human beings?  With feelings?

If you were concerned about their feelings, you wouldn't be paying them to do things they wouldn't normally do. To satisfy your selfish sexual desires and wishes. Treating human beings like a trained act. Here's your treat now perform your trick.

Pot meet kettle.

... treat them like a "trained act"?  Wow, what a great guy. Salt of the earth, you are.

I never ask providers to do anything they wouldn't do with their other clients, of their free will.  They're the ones who make the choice to see me, or not.  They also decide what they're comfortable doing, or not doing, while we're together.  As I said recently in another thread, I pay providers for their time, not $X per sex act.

But thanks for making it crystal clear what you think of providers.

The first reviews I saw made me very uncomfortable.  I was used to closing the door and having the discretion of privacy.  Thank you so much for seeing us the way I see myself.  I do think we act as sensual muses, even mentors for men, women, and couples.

I have become used to the reviews and understand that they are required to be very graphic.  For this reason, some men never post reviews as they also do not like to kiss and tell.  However, the reviews are a sneak peek into what a session might be like and help to quell the nerves and questions one might have prior to setting something up.  So for those resons, I have come to enjoy recieving them and even find myself quite turned on while reding them...it is very sexy to get in your head first live and then post session reading your review.

I recently posted a review that was so graphic that I sent portions of the text to the provider, with a note "Do you want all this out there?" The specifics were a very hot anal part of our session. While it was -incredible-, I'm also aware that some providers prefer to keep this a YMMV option, but she was totally out there, so I posted the review.

I don't ever tailor reviews for favors, prices, etc, but I do omit some details if the lady prefers, or honestly, if it is just too much intimacy for me to post, even anonymously.

Oddly, TER first rejected the review because I put a line to the effect "You have a dancer's body". The rejection is odd since the lady's p4 profile lists "professional stripper". Ah, well.

I've met clients who were not interested in writing explicit detail (for their own reasons) and had their reviews rejected from TER, so they gave up. They are happy to write that I was what I advertised, my personality, the atmosphere, and that they were very satisfied with our time but that's not good enough for some people who read reviews. So, we get NO reviews from then rather than something respectful. I'm not opposed to the graphic reviews, I have some about me,  but I don't see why my list if reviews can't vary from mild to graphic.

I'd like to see the providers given a chance to respond to any review that pertains to them.   Same rules ... anything goes.   It might be very good for TER.  Imagine how that would change the dialogue.

There would likely be very few free memberships.
