I recall when the old version was very new the site had that feature where providers were bumping ads from days sometimes weeks ago to be back at the top.Not fair to the ladies who had to wait a week to post their weekly ad to be bumped by old ads.I have seen this already happening with this new version TER please fix this.

If you've been using the beta site you know that thread bumping is now allowed, which I'm all for on the general boards or local boards because it keeps discussions alive.  However, you shouldn't be able to bump threads on the ad boards.  Looks like some ladies have already figured it out and will now post inane comments days after their ad initially posted, just so the ad makes it back to the front page.

...is the default viewing mode in beta.  I doubt most people mess with the default settings, so I still feel like this is something that can be gamed.

I first noticed it on Newbie. The Self-Help Guide was locked to the top but it was pointed out to me by P'Storm that it only happens in Flat (or Tree -- one way or the other).

There are other "locked to the top" Admin posts that will also get bumped around: Special announcements, Local Board Photo Themes, etc.

Those posts should remain locked in BOTH Tree and Flat views.

It appears this problem was fixed on the ad boards.  Kudos to the staff for taking action.
