Airport Hotels

There are always affordable hotels near the airport. Hotels such as Holiday Inn and Comfort Inn. The girls who visit my town tend to stay at the airport hotels. You can do the same.

And I know I just recently answered that question on the San Diego board.

Somebody moved my "where should I stay" post from the Detroit regional board to the travel board were nobody saw it and nobody replied. Now I'm going to a brand-new city and I have no idea which neighborhood to stay in.

Knowing the right neighborhood to stay in is critical when going on tour. Not being able to post this question on the regional boards we are it will actually be seen is going to be a harmful to us.  In my opinion people don't mind answering that question, in fact they like to, based on how many helpful and thorough replies I usually get.

I strongly request and suggest that you guys allow us to post this question on the regional boards!  As a touring provider getting that information in second in importance only to being allowed to post ads on the boards of the cities I'm traveling to.

I understand the situation you and other ladies are facing when on tour and I would agree with your request. Two other suggestions, if you've built a network of contacts with other ladies, perhaps also sending DMs asking for suggestions would help. If you have access to the PO board, it may also provide you with insight and information.

You are not the first to lament this problem. I know at least a few clients have had the same problem when trying to ask where should I stay. Makes perfect sense to me to leave it on the regionals where people with the answers will see it. I don't think the travel board gets much traffic.

Maybe if enough people say so, admin will change. Good luck!

Would you have questions as it pertains to where you would be most available and accessible to restaurants, museums and shopping? Also would you have questions pertaining to your friend's accessibility to parking and his commute to you?  Finally would you have questions pertaining to the grade and quality of the hotels and if and when they could interfere with business? Also would you have questions to where LE would be and what are the best provider friendly hotels?  Finally would you also be bringing a hotspot so you could go on certain sites that would raise suspicion with hotel personnel?

"This is my first time to visit ____.  Can you guys tell me where I should stay to be accessible to the most clients and also to be able to See tourist attractions", or something like that.

I agree. It's fine to put such Qs on the local boards where the local experts (and annoying non-experts) can post their suggestions for travel, lodging, eating, etc.

Some info is very local, very topical and very timely. Only the active locals would know or care about it: parades, sporting events, broken water mains, ...

You don't need a lot of outdated "I was in NYC (or Detroit) 5 years ago and [some place] was really nice and the rooms were cheap."

TER: let these Qs remain on the local boards.

The problem is, if you allow it, you wind up with a moderation nightmare in the comments. It seems like TER is already short staffed in that department, so it would only make that worse.

The biggest problem is if you ask where to stay, the thread is going to have helpful people calling out their favorite incall hotels by name. This is bad for business because it could bring extra heat on said hotels. That's bad news for everyone.

What I would do is ask some of the local girls for help, you'll probably get the info you require that way and it's much more discrete.

But that argument also applies to the Travel Board where people will post names and places, too.

On the other hand, TER could reinstitute volunteer mods like they had in the old days. The closest thing right now is perfectstorm as the official (name in red letters) "host" on Newbie.

The boards that I know (Boston, NY) are fairly active and people are very quick to warn others not to post specifics in public but to use PM or email. I don't know about activity on the boards less traveled.

True, the policy surely applies to the travel board, but in a perfect world that would mean they have to watch one forum, not dozens.

I moderated as many as a dozen boards here at any given time and it's just not that fucking hard.

Other than the Vegas board, where the names of hotels are mentioned all the time, I rarely see the name of a specific hotel mentioned in a thread. Many times the OP will say "no names" please or ask for a name be sent in a PM. When I do see a name, I've done an RTP and TER will either remove the name or the post. Btw, how long have you been on TER ?
