I agree.  He got so obsessed with the power game that he wasn't hitting any fairways.  It looks like he has lost some weiight too.  I know that Hank Haney hated the fact that Tiger was bulking up as it took away some flexibilty and feel.  Butch Harmon has commented on this as well.  He looks a lot more comfortable with his swing and his short game seems to be back...if he can putt well he will win a few more times this year.

Now tied with Nicklaus for second most career PGA Tour victories, with 73. Hell of a chip in on 16 and the birdie on 18 was icing on the cake. I still think Nicklaus is safe with most career Majors. It'll be interesting to see how Tiger does at Olympic in two weeks.

I told a buddy of mine a few months ago that if Tiger would back off just a bit and not try to play such a power game all the time by hitting his driver, that he could still win big. He pulled the 3 wood out of his bag all weekend and hit fairway after fairway and look what happened. So what if he's hitting a 5 iron into the green instead of a 7 or 8. His game is still better than anyone else out there and he's better with his longer clubs than most guys are with their scoring irons. Should be interesting at Olympic in 2 weeks!
