Cuellar, a mainstay of the Oriole pitching staffs of the late 60's and early 70's, died Friday at age 72. In 1971, he was one of 4 Oriole pitchers to win 20 games. The others were Jim Palmer, Dave McNally and Pat Dobson. Cuellar's best pitch was a screwball that tied right-handed hitters up in knots.

Ahh yes, from the days of Earl Weaver, the man that taught Billy Martin how to kick dirt.  Mike Cueller was one of the great pitchers, RIP.

and the late 60's and early 70's was a great time for baseball. RIP Mike Cueller.
