Seem to me you find it amusing or confusing when someone finally announce that they are leaving the business, you can speculate of many reasons why they arrived at their own personal decisions to hang it up...For me it's NOT anybody's business whatever the reasons were...The reality of it all is, we get into this world, this playground because all of us, whether you believed it or NOT...we are in need of help and in return, we try to help as much we can, enjoy have fun, in order to feel good about ourselves, it's all an excuse, period, we play here because we all have a SHITTY LIVES, and we're all trying to survive and this place is where you find the least easy way to validate ourselves, Johns and Providers alike.. Providers chooses this profession because of so many different reasons, some because it's beyond their control, divorces, kids, death, debt, accidents, drugs & alcohol addictions, crime, violence, lack of educations, sex addiction, pimps & handlers, hobby, etc, etc, and a few are by choice and those are one's that are really, really sick and lonely, and these is one of the places that they can seek help, if you are in DENIAL and NOT willing to accept that, whether you are John/Provider and tries to justifies and convince yourself, "that you love what you're doing", well, you are  fucking doomed, you are beyond help, you are F-up. We are all here in a TEMPORARY BASIS.. We all have GOALS and DREAMS (Johns) all kinds of emotional therapy, (Providers) mostly for financial goals in order to obtain assistance, a ladder to climb up or a step for a better future for themselves and their families..And if you DON'T have any EXIT STRATEGY from this activities, it becomes an addiction a cancer, aggressive decease that will lead to a longtime permanent health issues, physical and mental problems..And the reality of it all is, we all come in different backgrounds in society, rich, tycoon, billionaires, millionaires, royals, graduate professionals, PHD's, doctorate, nerds, reverend, politicians, professional athletes, movie stars, poor, welfare, retired, disabled, etc...

Money, spending and risking everything for the emotional therapy...Might not relates with the topic but just example how we get here...

I apologize in advance if this subject has been raised and discussed before but I'm always taken aback or at the very least, leery of  any provider who advertises that she will soon be retiring or this will be her last visit to the area, etc. etc.  In fact I don't really understand why a provider would advertise in such a manner because I just can't fathom why anyone would want to spend good money to see them.

If someone is leaving the business, what incentive would they have to make a good impression or even care about their performance as it's not going to make any difference going forward.  It would seem to any reasonable person that they are just out to make as much money as they can before they 'hang it up' and don't give a rat's backside about getting any repeat or referral business.

Maybe someone can educate me here.  TIA....

I've seen a number of ladies who make this statement and low and behold they come back.  For some they find the money and/or lifestyle to alluring to stay away.   Some even claim to retire, but will continue to see clients they had in the past.  They just don't openly advertise their availability.

A couple of other reasons that I can think of.  Maybe someone has always wanted to see her and never pulled the trigger.  Now they have to make a decision to either pull the trigger or lose that chance altogether.  Folks whom have seen her in the past and enjoyed their time with her might want to see her one more time before she becomes unavailable or that she's not planning in being that city every again.

I also wouldn't be concerned that they would somehow make less of an impression or care less about their performance.  If she decided to return to the scene, she knows that the last impression she had with a previous client would cause him not to want to see her again.  She would ruin her own reputation.  That would cause her problems because anyone new, who looked at her reviews would see the less than stellar comments.

I hadn't considered that angle and you make a solid argument there.  Thanks.

What has happened in the past is that a provider retires quietly, then her phone explodes with men begging her for one last appointment. These may be repeat or first-time sessions. If the provider wants to meet, she has to make special arrangments to make that happen.

It's a lot easier to announce her retirement in advance, so those gents who want to meet can be accomodated. Some people are procrastinators. They have their eye on an ad for years but never take any steps to meet the lovely lady until she announces her retirement.

This is my take on why retirements are announced in advance.

For some providers, it means no new clients... so start seeing them now, before they go completely under the radar...
