For my sessions I have been considering using specialty scented oils. The my are very light scented, but before I do wanted to see what the majority thought about this. Would you all prefer non-scented or something very light scented? Also do all of you prefer a provider use light perfume or no perfume at all? Thanks everyone for your input :)

It's important for most folks to be discrete, and any kind of scent is going to ruin that.
Someone's SO knows how they smell, and is going to notice if they smell different.

I do get the draw of aromatherapy however, and you can accomplish this with a reed oil diffuser or similar. I've been to a number of spas that use coconut oil, but have either a little dish with a few drops of oil under the head doughnut. That way you can smell it, but you don't have to wear it.

with the married guys on this one.  I don't want to be wearing anything when I leave a provider, masseuse, or hair stylist that I didn't put on myself at home.  If it happens before I remember to say something, then I simply will not repeat.  Fortunately, most professionals offer an unscented alternative and will ask your preference before they apply it.  It used to didn't matter, but my smart ass secretary began to raise an eyebrow and tell me my new cologne smelled a little girly when I returned from seeing a provider that used anything scented, which was actually a warning that if she noticed, others would, too.

Thank you gentleman.  This was really useful. I just figured that a shower afterwards would help but, I see better safe than sorry
