I think that all of us, no matter how much we might enjoy our jobs, would rather be doing something else -- even if it's merely being free to go out partying and decide who we want to fuck and how we want to fuck them.

So being a pornstar is a job... so is being a Mafia hit-man. The fact that you get paid to kill someone doesn't legitimatize it or make it any better than someone who kills out of passion or mental illness.
To think that fucking a stranger in front of a camera is self-expression or art, or that it's any better than escorting, is delusional. If Jayden's point was that she doesn't hit the bars every night to pick up a stranger for a one-night stand, then she has a valid point. But to say an adult performer who doesn't esort is somehow better than one who does is just holier-than-thou bullshit.
Also, she's mis-informed about a few other points.
Most girls who get into the adult industry weren't "whores", to use her expression, before becoming adult talent. It was after they became starlets that they realized that as a pornstar they could make substantially more than "two or three hundred dollars" to escort. Their porn stardom MADE escorting financially appealing, especially in light of the current economic state of the industry.
And finally, the claim that the PSEs are fucking clients indiscriminently without using condoms and bringing disease into the industry is absurd. While we all know that unprotected intercourse does occur, when it does the great majority of PSEs insist on seeing valid and current tests, just like they do in the industry. The fact is that the great majority of the general population leads a much lower risk lifestyle than the male talent in the porn. While HIV is closely monitored in the porn biz, the incidence of non-leathal STDs is much higher in the industry than it is in the public arena. It's the MALE talent who are bringing STDs to the industry, not the clients of PSEs.
Bottom line, Jayden should stick to fucking on camera and leave the pontification to someone who's a little more informed than she is.
We've seen it before and we'll see it again. She knows the game and she knows what is true and what is not. She just feels compelled to give good material to insure she gets face and print time at whomever's expense. By taking the "high road", she has compromised her credibility, IMO.
