Personally, I hope there is no majority party

50-50 split in the Senate and 217-217 in the house with one additional member to be cut in half. Any guesses on who I nominate for that honor? lol

Think about it for a second. San Francisco is primarily gay. What actress/character does the gay community revere? What costume is worn more than any other at Halloween? That's right Toto. None other than Dorothy. At a minimum, this could just piss of the gay community. I'd like to meet the person who had the guts to put this ad together.

The ad is a perfect exhibit of the tastelessness and outright lack of perspective that has overtaken politics. I don't agree with Nancy Pelosi on much, but she is no witch. Pelosi is a mostly well meaning person who has some simply ineffective solutions to pressing problems. Her opponent would be better served by defining in a clear minded way, how he would lead in a style that is beneficial to the people of his congressional district.

No one, not this guy or anyone has a chance of beating Nancy. If her opponent can't have a little fun then he might as well not run.

I'm sure her previous 12 opponents were more "civil" and look where that got them. This was as much a dig against the "mostly well meaning" Democrat voters of the California 8th District.

And as for Pelosi being "mostly well meaning"; critics of her Speakership and her very heavy handed tactics of power would strongly disagree with you.

Nancy Pelosi makes Sarah Palin look like a Rhodes Scholar. Witch is one of the nicest things I can think of to call Nancy Pelosi. Every one loves to make fun of Palin, and rightfully so, but Palin only aspired to national office, Pelosi actually holds one of the most powerful offices in the country, in spite of the fact that she is about as bright as Xfean, and has visions for this country as inane as Willy Wonka.

I agree with you GA. I would like to see another speaker, but not the current republican minority leader. Regardless of what happens in November, the majority party would be well served to choose another leader. As a moderate, I agree with some of Pelosi's views, but disagree with most of them.

For what other reason than to silence the Tea Party would she have accused them of being Nazis?

concerning your uneven hand regarding the use of applying the label of Nazi.

If Dennis had any brains, he'd be running wall to wall ads of Pelosi's speech in which she tells Americans they can quit their jobs because they have health care now.

But damn that was funny. Stupid. Corny. But funny. Not good for a serious campaign though. But still funny, in a horribly corny way.

We have to pass the bill so we can see what's in it"...

Brilliant legislator.

by converting to natural gas.

Thats like saying we need to get off of eating meat by switching to pork. rofl

She could have been finer in her distinction, assuming she was aware there was one. But even stumbling, she was right on this one. In terms of overall damage to the environment, natural gas is better than crude based products and coal.

and she said it not only once, but about four times. She is just too fucking stupid to represent anyone, much less hold one of the highest offices in the land.

Put her up against Palin, and I start packing my bags and taking lessons in Mandarin.

I will play russian roulette with six bullets in the chamber.

Homicidal, yes. Suicidal, no. rofl.

but yeah, I get your point.

She's so fucking stupid.

I guess she thinks we should abandon electric cars, fuel cell cars, biofuels cars etc. Or maybe she just thinks we should build the infrastructure for the delivery system for ANY AND ALL of these vehicles.

Rube Goldberg, anyone?

the majority of the people who vote for her and that's as smart as she needs to be. Futhermore the hall's of congress are full of people just like her.

Maybe the only way out is to have a major depression. I can't see a lot of good on the horizon for either political party. All I know for sure, the best course of action is to vote the current ones out at all cost. It's the only course left open. If they are allowed to stay in office in their minds they receive a stamp of approval by the voters, even if they won by the slimest of margin.

I gotta to say the people of MD showed a lot of courage by their vote. It has to send a message, but even so the dumb bastard didn't get it. Now he going to run as a independant.
