No excuses from me but I am judging him on my own criteria.

I don't get caught up with what Taffy or the NY Slimes thinks of how I should judge Trump nor do I care he said he would do something on "day one" but hasn't managed to do it yet.

Here are my core issues Jake, and he hasn't flip flopped on any of them yet. If and when he does, I will skewer him.

1. Put a righty on the SC....DONE

2. Make a real, noticeable difference on the border....DONE

3. Dont cave to two bit dictators...DONE, needs to continue

4. Deregulate to allow for economic growth...GREAT start, but more to do

5. Massive, across the board tax personal and corporate tax reform...PENDING

6. Destroy ISIS...PENDING, but good start

7. Repeal/Replace Obamacare...Bad start, but PENDING and I am patient as it needs to get done RIGHT not FAST

Can't wait for the excuses to roll in from the right. "He's smart enough to change when he learns he's wrong."  "He never intended to keep all those promises." "But, but, but! Look what he HAS done." LMAO!

1) Agree.  I hate Gorsuch but we knew what we'd get.
2) Sort of.  Illegal border crossings are down only because Trump's heated lingo scared some people.  And he's never going to get the wall built across the whole border, let alone get Mexico to pay for it.  Also, he's gotten slapped down twice with his travel ban.  So I say INCOMPLETE.
3) Agree but the price of standing up to N. Korea has yet to be known.  Something needed to be done but I hope he keeps a cool head.  I remain unconvinced. INCOMPLETE.
4) Agree.
5) You are too optimistic.  Unless he can revive a replacement for ObamaCare the funds for true tax reform just aren't there. He's got the same problem here with the Freedom Caucus as he did with O-Care. So he may labor mightily and bring forth a mouse. INCOMPLETE
6) The destruction of ISIS had almost entire taken place before Trump came into office.  Of course you'll give him credit for it anyway. INCOMPLETE
7) See above.  The most likely outcome is it won't get done at all.  Especially after he just threatened the Dems with defunding it.  Let him.  It will ensure a bloodbath for Republicans in 2018. INCOMPLETE.
So you only get 2 out of 7, Jack.

And you at least partially agree on 2 or 3 others.

ISIS was born and metastasized under Barry but I will concede things were getting better before Trump took over. It doesn't really matter to me about who gets the credit. I gave Obama the credit for nailing OBL.

If Trump/Military destroys ISIS, America wins, not just Trump. Some things, like Al Qiada and ISIS, are bigger than politics. America won, not just Obama, when OBL was killed.

You and I will continue to disagree about R&R of Obamacare. The most likely outcome is that it gets done, but nobody is ecstatically happy about it.

One of the leaders of the Freedom Caucus said the other day that Trump is personally involved in the negotiations and that he was optimistic he and Trump, along with others, will eventually get it done.

They insist on treating him like a politician when he's not. They insist on judging him through an ideological window when he's not an ideologue. Flip flop is only a negative term in the political world. If a CEO of a company refused to change his mind, posture or negotiating stance due to his ideology the BOD would have him gone quickly.

Indeed some of Trump's reversals don't make sense to me on the surface but other's, like his statements about China and their economic policies could actually serve a useful purpose regarding North Korea. What matters on that issue is if or when he reverses again. Making deals with the American people are one thing and Trump seems to be able to maneuver the zig zags (at least so far), but going back on a deal with someone like China will be something else.

The NYT did acknowledge in both your link and this one...
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2017/04/15/us/politics/ap-us-trump-reversals-reactions.html
that reversals aren't the end of the world.

ps. There's a little fake news in your link but I don't have time and who would expect less from the NYT.

So what happened to the "Law & Order" President?   These shootings were supposed to stop after his inauguration.    By the way what is the difference between  a dictator dropping chemical bombs on children and a kid  taking an AR15, blasting in to an elementary school and killing children?

One requires a military response and another just 'prayers and sympathies'.
