I had a provider ask me recently to provide my cell number to "complete my screening." I use a private, burner phone for hobbying and I am wondering if this is ok to provide that number or will it cause an issue with my screening because its not associated with me. In this case, I provided both my burner phone and personal phone (asking that she only text my burner) but in the future, if using my burner number is ok, that would be my preference. Is my phone number something providers really use for screening?
Me, I ask for a personal cell number for screening purposes but am fine with restricting contact to a burner number. Other ladies will ask for more and some will ask for less, so feel free to ask when in doubt.
which I don't, I'd give that. Since I'm single, I only have my personal cell, so I will give her that if she needs it. If she is new to me, I will probably give it to her so she will know it's me when I call or text for the second contact for room number.

It shouldn't take her more than 15 seconds to have your name and address, if she so desires. She wouldn't contact any phone you ask her not to, if she is professional.

I don't even wait until he tell me to not contact that number.. because I just don't. I never know if they are with family and significant other so, I rather keep the communication by email until the day of the apt. Then, If is ok with them... I will text.

I ask for the cell phone number (for screening but I don't contact that number) and for any other communication I will contact the burner. ( I don't communicate via text until the date of the appt for certain specific details).
Many providers do use your phone number for screening. On my screening form, I make it very clear to a potential client to not use a burner number. In addition, I ask for their preferred contact M.O.: email & text, or email only. If they should pick email and text, they can provider their preferred contact phone number (burner) in that place.
I have yet to encounter a SW where I haven't provided all the requested screening information: phone number, email, name, references, etc.
...when possible. Often, it's pointless for screening if it's just a burner or side app. I screen any information given to me in the first email before I even respond. Sometimes, an email address alone is enough for the screening process, depending on how they've used that particular address. Amazingly, there are people who use their real emails, names and phone numbers when trying to schedule appointments! (Facebook, LinkedIn) I know it's a little scary to hand over info, which is why I try to make it as seamless as possible...and also why I appreciate it when a fellow is proactive with sharing the info he already KNOWS I'm going to ask for! For some of us, the initial communication really sets the tone for the entire interaction and session...being prepared shows me you're very interested and serious about seeing me. It's a huge turn on! I love a man with a plan.
