END OF MESSAGE

So this is my first foray into being an independent. My advertising is in my hands, and I kind of want to be less raunchy photo-wise. So question is, what sort of photos do you gentleman prefer to see?

Professional photos? Amateur stuff? selfies? A mix of both? And how important is what she's wearing in the photos? Dresses and lingerie or lingerie only?

Thanks again!

...The bottom line is there is no single recipe that everyone will like. IMHO your best bet is to include a little bit of everything in your photos.

...We should be able to tell what you look like from the viewing of all your photos. You should have various poses so we can. Covering or blurring your face is fine. We understand the need for it.

Photos of you clothed, semi clothed, and nude (tasteful nude) are a good idea.
I'm not a fan of the upside down shots.

Edited to say this was meant for the OP. Though I started it because I agree with lopaw.

As much as I appreciate a lady investing both her time and money in having pro photos done, I do enjoy seeing species. Gives me a better sense of who you are. Have fun with it too.

As far as clothing, both lingerie and regular street clothes. One lady I saw not to long ago got my attention when she posted a photo of herself in gym attire.

My only.other comment about photos - keep it classy, not trashy. Remember you are marketing yourself..

Don't show more in your photos than you're comfortable in showing. If you're comfortable with lingerie pics, IMO it's good to have some in addition to others like pics with dresses.  The pics should show you as you'll appear when the door opens and the client sees you.  So current, un-altered photos are critical.  I like to see some amateur/selfies in addition to any pro pics you may use.  Also, videos are nice because those are very difficult to alter, and they not only show appearance but can give some glimpse into your personality.

You didn't mention tats, but if you have any and choose to obscure them in your pics, be sure to mention that you have tats and how big/many on your web site, P411 etc.  Tats don't bother me, but some people are turned off by them, so it's best not to surprise them.

for privacy, videos are easier for some family member to recognize you. Just keep that in mind, how we move, how we turn, our tattoos (if you have any). I hide mine on my pictures... but on  TER and my ID shows that I do have a tattoo. I just don't want to be recognized by it...

On a video, its very hard to hide it. No money in the world is worth to be recognized by family members and people in your real life... my .2 cents.

In my opinion, professional pictures on my website, selfies on my twitter.

Many like myself will never see your selfies as I am never on Twitter or Facebook.
Like the selfies though.

so long as it's an accurate portrayal of what you currently look like. Selfies are usually a better bet for that. You can dress up or down, whatever you want. I'd prefer non-raunchy, but still sexy.

My ideal is a collection that shows off all your major features: face (if you want to show it), hair, tits, ass, and legs, plus ones that show off the whole package. I'm looking to be generally informed on your total appearance.

I see women on there all the time talking about their photo shoots and which photographer they love the best.

Also, they are expensive I hear.

Next. Hands down the pose that gets me excited the most is from above the woman is in bra and panties on her back in bed lifting her hips up and just starting to take off her panties. Gets me every time.

There is one agency that does this pose for every woman, but I can't remember which one.

The link shows one.

If you look at the Photo Board, you can see which photos get the most votes, and those tend to be professional ones.

Be sure it is well lit, and has some kind of sexy pose.  I enjoy sudsy tub/shower poses myself.

When the door opens, I want the girl behind the door to look like the photos I saw that made me book her. That is a lot more likely than with professional photos. Some professional photos are overly photoshopped. Even the ones that aren't  will be taken under the best lighting conditions, best angles, best makeup etc., all things that most likely are not available in the session.

There are also a lot of clients (see mrfisher's post) who prefer the professional photos. Therefore if you are trying to appeal to the widest possible clientele, you should have a mixture of photos.

I think one of the hottest provider pictures I've even seen was of the lady walking down a public street in a simply casual dress you might see in any office or warm afternoon. (was on a different site and before I joined TER so no idea if she is real or not -- was clearly out of my price range).

I suspect most of us want to see something that is a good representation of what we'll see when the door opens so your photo portfolio on your site should probably follow along fairly close to how you expect to welcome the your guest at the door and then something to show what they can expect next.

In the 50s I enjoyed watching westerns on black & white TV....

so a lady who shows me her guns gets priority.

Please keep in mind the needs of your target audience: US! You do not need a website to compare to Disney or Amazon or other super-fancy ultra-deluxe web designs. In fact, for safety reasons, you want:
NO FLASH!
NO SCRIPTS!
NO large image files to slow down downloads or viewing.
NO POP-UPS!
NO auto-play video or audio!
NO password or membership only galleries.
NO fancy schmancy stuff that exposes us to malware, viruses, etc.
NO fancy schmancy stuff that exposes us to being exposed by cookie trails or being caught when someone (co-workers; family members) comes into our office or den while we are viewing.

To hobby safely, most of us need websites that are viewable using TOR or other safe browsers with all the protections turned on.  TEST VIEW YOUR WEBSITE USING TOR.

If you want to get really fancy, I recommend that a custom website should have:
A basic Welcome or landing page that offers:
Click [here] for the vanilla, plain HTML version.
Click [here] for the mobile friendly version.
Click [here] for the enhanced, deluxe version with all the bells and whistles.

Back to your photos: Don't forget to watermark them! If will cut down on the likelihood of them being stolen and used by another Provider in her (fake pic) ads. That will make YOU look bad because people won't know who the faker is. "Victoria is using different names on different ads! Must be faker! Caution!"

As you look at other Providers' photos, note the ones you like. If not marked with the photogs ID (Aldo, Black Lotus, Church, ...) contact the lady and ask her who took her pics and how it was to deal with that photog. Many photogs tour, just like Providers.  If you see work you like, inquire when and where they are available to schedule a shoot.

Also: you mention that you are now going indy. Do you have experience and reviews with an agency? Do you have a Profile from your time there?

Also: do you already have an ad someplace? You can post the link when you REPLY to this post but you are not allowed to include your ad link in the top post when you start a new thread as OP (original poster).

And NO UPSIDE DOWNS! Humans can't easily decipher upside-downs!
(Wait a few seconds for it to flip.)

and lingerie. Also, a variety of posses so we can get an idea of your body proportions; not measurements but height, weight, body type, etc.

Yes, some sexy pics are preferred but you don't need to bare all. You can use long hair, a head turn, etc. to discretely hide your face.

If your mixture of pics is well done, you could accomplish this variety in about 16-20 photos.

You are correct in that marketing is key to success in this biz. IMHO, quality service for a fair price is also a key.

Good luck.

As an example lets say you work out. Then show me the results  of all your hard work. Not body builder competition poses but flex those arms and legs a little. Personally I like a well muscled back more than an enhanced front. A mix of honest selfies and tasteful pics done by others, and maybe one video.

Looked at your site, it looks well done, and the photos are great. I think you're on the right track. The mix of pro and selfies is a good choice. The only thing I could offer I suppose is to get some new pro photos done with better lighting. I would avoid dark photos and black and white. What seems to catch my eye is bright colors or a contrast between two or more colors (like blonde hair, red lipstick and black lingerie for example)

Authentic pictures go a long way.  A 1 minute video also goes a long way.  A few pics that tease, but a few that show the goods and close the deal.
