lately for all providers.  I was tsalking about it with a hobby friend the other day.  My contention is that the top girls are doing fine, but that some of the Providers who shouldn't have been making what they have been all along due to looks or performance are finally seeing a market correction.

For example.  If she's over 45 but claims to be in her 30's and somewhat resembles a shriveled up Cruella de Vil without the white streaks in the hair, she's not going to be getting the $500.00 per hour she used to get despite marketing her ass off (like having Parties, being on the Boards, etc.) because the market just won't support it any more. Even if she was to use her adult daughter's pics in some of her ads.  LOL.

But if she's young, hot, and gives great service, she's going to get her rate despite not engaging in extra marketing.

What do you guys think?  Has the market corrected, or is business just slow?

I rarely get 1 hour bookings these days, most of requests are for 2 hour or my clock free date, so while there are less contacts, can't really complain.

I guess people are readjusting their attitudes about how they spend their hobby dollars.

Sounds like the high rollers still have plenty of "hobby money" !  LOL

...would still be analyzing  prices. Stop trying to figure out the girl's motives. If you don't like the prices, shop somewhere else.

The really high-end are still doing well, because their clientele isn't the guy who is making low six figures in NYC.  The high, high-end ones are dealing with the multi-millionaires, so a grand here or there is like lint in their pockets.

By and large, the midrange is getting pretty beaten up, and I have heard from at least one well-reviewed and hot provider that her phone has barely been ringing.  Also, look at the fact that most of the postings in the NY Ads Discussion Board are mostly of local girls when instead you would expect to see visitors.  And many of those girls will offer a discount if you express interest.  You might not hear about it, but it will come through via PM.  A $300 provider offered her services to me for $200 a few months ago, and I think it is because business is so slow, not because she was so interested in meeting me specifically.

There are more girls who are doing bodyrub for the first time, and these are some attractive girls.  One girl I met recently works in the UES and was recently a legitimate career person in the pharmaceutical industry.  Another one I've met is a clinical therapist, I think, and yet another one was an event planner.  All have either recently lost their jobs or are finding their hours and pay cut.

The bodyrub girls are getting hotter and more plentiful, and consequently girls are doing more extras for reduced rates.  And some of them are probably going to end up becoming escorts.  The very busy ones at agencies are discovering the fact that the agency takes half is a bad business model in this economy, where bookings are few and far between, so many are cutting side deals for private outcalls.

In some sense, the provider market is no different than Wall Street.  When things are great, everyone is spending money, but when times are tough, there is some serious moaning about the return to the "good old days" when money was flowing freely.  And like Wall Street, there are some unrealistic expectations about what market value.  :)

The market is efficient.  A girl can charge what she charges if she is making enough money for herself.  I have no problem with what any girl charges, but when it comes down to it, the consumer has more choices at lower prices.  The consumer also has less money in his pocket, so he is gonna be a lot more picky, which is what I'm seeing these days.

But if you are expecting the uber-high-end girls to start discounting, think again.  You and I don't have enough liquid reserves to move the market away from the hedge fund guy who made eight figures last year.

thinking they know the business from a providers end.

Bottom line what you don't think 3 Hobbyist will pay trust and believe shell meet 6 who will weather its in person, picked up at a bar, or off her ads who some don't even care for review or even on the boards.

Stop thinking that without the boards, a girl does not get business. I keep seeing more post about girls business, in all reality there will always be someone to see her, her regulars, or clients she can pick up along the way.

Theres more then getting appts then just the review boards, for every 5 who write reviews there 10 guys you can meet who doesnt look , care, about reviews or get too involved with this and will just take their chances.
