Lots of good ones in the Rockefeller Center area.  There's a famous one called "Hallo Berlin" that's known for its sausage sandwiches.  He's usually near Fifth.

They have a truck, but opened a brick and mortar last year midtown east, on 3rd somewhere. Yummy yummy!

Also, I forget the name, but a falafel place opened up on the west side of lex between 55th and 56th (90% sure those are cross streets, could be a block up or down). Anyway, I know falafel as it's a family business in Israel. This is one of the few places I've tried outside of Israel that has a decent falafel. Cheap too.

Kiss me,

Kate

They are $2.50 and SO yummy. A description of the burger: "Their Beef Slider is made from in-house ground chuck, short rib and sirloin and served with caramelized Vidalia onions." -gothamist.com

Oh and you can have a Guinness shake, if you really want to have a good time.

Do you have any Good suggestions?

Cravin' a bite in the Big Apple,

This my current favorite for cheap eats! $3 tacos $6 burritos, unbelievably good. This truck usually maned by Poppi and his daughter Alisha, is typically located at Greene and Spring on weekdays and Broadway between Spring and Prince on weekends. They prepare everything themselves, and its super fresh. My personal favorite is the carne enchilada taco, with avocado creme and salsa verde, all the fix-in's except cheese. I'm getting hungry got to go!

Tribeca Taco, don't miss it if you're in Soho around lunchtime. Find a stoop, and watch the lovely ladies walk-by.

Best pizza ever?  No, but it's always hot and fresh.

$1 per slice or $2.75 for 2 slices and a can of soda.  You really can't beat it.

I go to the one on 40th & 9th a lot when I'm in town because it's right in the theatre district.  They also have one down by NYU on St. Marks Place and on 8th near 34th.  Plus a bunch of other locations they are opening soon.

I love the pizza wars in NYC -- they keep prices low!

xo, Alex
