Actually bbwolf777, it is for this same reason that TER originally added the ALIAS feature. Here is the link

An agency on the Carolinas board makes a good argument as to why this can be a good idea for both providers and hobbyists.

What do you think?

The points made make a lot of sense.
The providers I use already know way too much about me anyway.
My TER handle is the least of my worries.

In the verification process, I am always asked for my handle. I know in one case my provider friend called my reviewee for info. I am not worried about this. I think its fair since we tend to know alot about the providers we meet...I appreciate that they do their homework too.

but the guy made his needs known without violating phone/email etiquette. That was pretty cool!

In my experience when a guy tells me he is from TER I always keep it in the back of my mind. I try and give 100% to everyone reguardless if they are joe shmoo from no where or a TEr member and frequesnt poster and reviewer.

If I know his TER handle I may look at his reviews to see his likes and dislikes and maybe I might even suggest to the client interested in seeing me  after reading them that perhaps he might be happier with someone else. If he is someone that tends to like certain things I offer and he showers upon arrival then I'll purpously include those things I know he likes that some are just too shy to ask for upfront.

A guy may not want to reveal his TER handle and I fully understand that. Lets face it, you want to be able to give an accurate review and possibly include info that you might not want the provider to know specifically who it is.

One benefit of twlling us who you are is that it helps with the screening process.

The final decision is however up to the hobbiest.

My take on it.

Early on when I was hobbying I had no "track record" so to speak and so I did not even consider mentioning it.

Lately, I have no qualms about mentioning it and it does ease the verification process although I do caution providers out there to still verify that the TER member is who he says it is...by PM or some other means.

I had an "anniverary" Liasion with an out of town provider this past Monday and this time around it was mentioned... and it made for a much more relaxed, comfortable experience for the both of us.

Again, as a TER VP member there is no substitute for useing the TER search engine and then validating the providers reviews by seeing who is doing the reviewing. I believe this way your pretty much 90% or more assured of having a splendid time.
Its a sure 100% if the provider is a known TER "personality" who post on the boards and friendly communication can occur prior to a get together via e-mail or PMS and perhaps some phone conversation.

Cheers!

that anything that makes both the provider and the hobbyist feel more comfortable with one another can only work towards a mutual advantage. I have no qualms about giving my TER handle.

I like to know the username if he is a member to see who he has reviewed in the past. If the reviewer has seen transexuals in the past, I will not see him. And before I get flamed, it's a personal preference.

Hey..I'm not going to flame you....an opinion is JUST THAT, a personal opinion.
I would like to know more about YOU, though.
You can send me a private mail if you'd rather not post.
Thanks

It would appear that any time a guy posts a less than favorable review, he gets slammed and pisses off the provider.

I've had to ask a provider that I didn't care to see again to give me a reference.  In those days, I did tell providers my handle but then I never felt free give my honest opinion.  Now that I haven't given a provider my handle for sometime, I feel more free to give an honest opinion.

I do know (from some of the ladies) that they do read my reviews to get a sense of what kind of person I am, likes, dislikes, etc.

Several have told me they get a kick out of reading my stories.

Having the TER name ahead of time is certainly helpful with screening, yet I never ask for it because it's an invasion of privacy. If someone volunteers it, that's great.

I usually will peek to see how many reviews there are and may skim through one or two out of curiosity--especially if it's of a litte known escort (I like to keep "abreast" of the new girls.)

I deliberately do not try to look for a trend or try to figure him out ahead of time. Not only is that an invasion of his privacy (to read all his juicy details with other ladies), but it would make our session too contrived. I like the element of surprise and spontaneity.

When I was new, I was contacted by a few (very few) TER hobbyists who subtly let me know a good review from them would really help my career. I hate anything smacking of extortion or manipulation, so those guys were crossed off my list immediately.

So, from my perspective, knowing your TER ahead of time is helpful with screening, but never mandatory. I respect your right to privacy above all else.

It allows them to get an idea of your likes and dislikes.... establishes that you are a "good" hobbyist that they don't have to worry about AND they know that the hobbyist can be a walking advertisement if the provider puts her heart and soul into the meeting.

I tend to screen for the best performers (based on their performance grade) so grade inflation really doesn't occur as I haven't been disappointed yet since discovering TER last year.

I honestly think that it is a good idea to let the provider know your TER name...

a) Its a good review, she will thank you for it.

b) Its a bad review, she will (hopefully) learn from her mistakes and you will not see her again so whats the big deal?

I mean you do know each other intimately, now your to shy to let her know what you really think? thats weak.
