Some sexy lingerie or my fave perfume. That way I can remember the thoughtfulness of my friend each&every time that I wear that item as well as get a better idea of what that friend likes as far as lingerie. Added plus is that with lingerie, I can wear it for my friend for some play time together... it's a win/win for the both of us.  ;)

OK ladies, Valentine's Day is just around the corner and it's time for us men to start thinking about what the best gift to buy our favorite someone is.

If you could chose one and only one of...

Chocolates, wine, perfume or lingerie

Which would you chose and why?  And if one of these 4 just absolutely won't do, what would you chose and why?

Guy's, if given no hints, which would you go with and why?

... then a gift certificate for a massage.  I have yet to meet a woman who doesn't love a massage.

If no hints...

I don't know if she likes chocolate, or what kind if she does like it.

I don't know if she drinks, or likes wine, or what kind of wine.

I don't know which perfume she likes, and that's very personal.

And I'd be guessing on the lingerie... again, no hints.

But of course, we always have SOME sort of hint. So I know what I'm bringing with me on V-Day.  :)

A condom??  Haha

I prefer a good bottle of Mccallan (18 preferred), Cigars, maybe a gift card to stores that I can stock up on things for my Incall.

So if I showed up with a 12 year and some Swisher Sweets would you send me away?

I like Mccallan 12. I would gladly exchange your swishers with some cohibas or a Romeo y jueliette. Whichever is your preference. I just don't smoke swishers,I am sorry.

As long as you put thought into a gift that is really all that matters.

Chocolate & wine will disappear quickly and lingerie can be difficult to find the correct fit, but a gift card would be great.

Enjoy the day!

For me it's purely the surprise of getting something unexpected. Like even when I have clients who give me a card with a note written in it, it warms my heart.

I'd warn against lingerie though, unless she has her specific sizes on her website. Nothing worse than getting a beautiful present that doesn't fit and you can never wear it.

No gifts are expected but it's always appreciated so whatever they may bring I will be thankful for!!

Really why would you get a provider and your ATF any thing. I think the donation is enough. Valentine's Day is BS. One sided day it's not even a holiday. Even if I was to get some thing for a provider I think in advance she better do some research, Or better yet most providers have a gift or wish list on their profiles. I think when booking with a provider that has a gift or wish list a monger should attach his wish list and or gift's he will accept.

But then seeing any gift from a provider is a long shot does you're ATF give you a discount ? She mite have a discount or special every now and then. But does she give you a personal discount. I think providers should give a discount for multiple visits in a reasonable time frame.
Some thing like $100 off ever 5th visit for a $300 per hr provider
$150 off ever 5th visit for a $400 per hr provider
$200 off ever 5th visit for a $500 per hr provider
Better yet ever 10th visit is free

But if you ask me most full time providers are all about the money greedy money hungry ho's

I think the gift-giving plays into the fantasy that the provider is the hobbyist's girlfriend.  Not a bad or good thing, just a fantasy..

No one cares about us Johns fantasy.  I fantasize about getting 50% discount on every other visit, now that would be HOT!!!

... doing something nice for someone we've spent a lot of time with and gotten to know as a person in addition to as a provider.

When we give gifts to people, it's usually not because we think of the recipient as our girlfriend or boyfriend.  As a friend, quite often.  Or a family member.  It can also be a way of saying "thank you, I appreciate you" to someone we know from the working world, either a teammate or client or someone who has performed some kind of service for us over time and has done so very well.

The other thing about giving a gift is... it's a GIFT.  Which means there should be no expectation by the giver to get something material in return. What we get from giving a gift is the good feeling that we've made someone happy... or tried to at least.

In my experience in the civilian world, when a client does a lot of business with (i.e., pays money to) another business for goods and services provided, the business providing the goods and services (i.e., receiving the money) will sometimes buys gifts for the client, but not vice versa.  The company I work for is always receiving end-of the-year/other occasion thank-you gifts from vendors, etc. that we do business with.  Last week we received a large box of cookies form a vendor.  Some businesses will give their clients Vikings/Twins/Wild/etc. tickets.  I wouldn't think of sending my paper supplier a bottle of wine or a dozen roses to thank them for their business.  Only in the hobbying world is this equation turned upside down.

I do nice things for the providers I see - I take a shower before I visit, am always courteous, and pay the full donation in cash.

I don't give my paper supplier gifts either.  But the provider/client relationship is a lot different than a paper supplier/client relationship, wouldn't you agree?  You probably don't kiss your paper supplier, or press your naked body into theirs, or have sex with them.  ;)

Think about the personal service providers you work with:  massage therapist, barber, and the like.  If you're a long-time client, do you ever give them a present of appreciation, maybe some cash at Christmas?  I think the provider/client relationship is more like those kinds of relationships, but even more personal.  And many providers (all of those I see) are sole proprietors, not employees of a big company.

No one's forcing you to give gifts to anyone.  It's just something some people enjoy doing.

Excellent response Knots!  I could not have put it any better myself.

Awesome, your my new best fucking TER buddy.

I'm not obligated to and I seldom do it but when I choose to do it, it is because I feel like doing it and I don't expect anything in return.
