If you want to be politically correct, you most definitely came to the WRONG place

How about YOU use provider, lady, courtesan, or whatever other "nice" term you prefer and let the rest of us hookers and johns use the terms WE like? Fair enough?

So I had this lady I had an arrangement with.  I originally met her as a provider and that turned into my helping her with a couple of health issues.  She was stable after I stopped seeing her.  But I told her she could still contact me if the issues seemed to be returning.  She contacted me today, but was under the mistaken belief that I still wouldn't charge even though we no longer had an arrangement.  LOL   I don't think so!

What's more is the fee I asked was low and very reasonable.  She is going to be in for a real surprise when she shops around and finds out that others, at the minimum, put an extra zero after the number I give her for an initial consultation/workup and what I did as a courtesy before.

Client services. They don't realize it may have cost guys hundreds of thousands of dollars and years of developing their skills to be able to provide that service.

That's maybe correct in some cases.  Really depends on the lady though.  Some are reasonable while others have more of a sense of entitlement.  I changed my schedule once to help a different provider out of a jam she was in.  It wasn't even that much of an inconvenience for me.  But regardless, she told me the next time I see her would be free.  I didn't ask for anything in return.  So I don't like to paint all providers with the same brush.

In this case I think it was probably more a sense of either entitlement or resentment.  The price I gave her I picked because I knew it was well within her budget while at least also covering my own cost.  Yeah, I will probably feel guilty if something bad happens.  But the bottom line is that she is the one in control of her own destiny and choices.

P.S.  How about we use the term provider or lady instead though.  :-)
