Help!! I am trying to piece together a Las Vegas style gambling night at a Miami bar. I am a promoter by trade. Since gambling is illegal in Florida all monies have to be donated to a charity. But how much $$$(if any at all) can I hold back to pay for expenses; i.e. gaming table rental and dealer salaries. In addition, can I take out a stipend for myself for all the work I put into it? I really need your help guys, because I keep getting different opinions from different people. Our grand prize is worth ten thousand dollars; therefore, we want to make this a weekly event for two months so we can raise that amount. Can anyone direct me to a site with gambling night laws? Any help will be appreciated.
