I have read with much interest reports on FKK Clubs - they sound like a teenager's wet dream come true. I have two questions.
1) Are there any good clubs close to the above rivers? I will be on a river cruise in May, and would like to substitute a club visit for a shore excursion.
2) I am nicely past the three score years and ten, so no longer qualify as a teenager. I am in good shape and carry my years very well. How well would I be accepted by the ladies at the FKK Clubs? I know it may be difficult to generalize, but I suspect the helpful experts here may be able to provide some useful information.

If on the Main River thru Frankfurt, I'd recommend Mainhatten (very near the river) and Sharks (probably a 15-minute taxi ride). There are others in the vicinity, depending on how far out you want to venture, and you can hardly go wrong with any of them.
Regarding your age, I wouldn't worry about it - there are a lot of guys in all the clubs I've visited who are 70+. Frankly, the girls don't care, so long as you're clean, nice, and spend your money. It's not like they love any of us, anyway.
For example, I saw a hot young (and naked) Polish blonde make out with a tall, fat 70+ German guy one minute, and then equally make out with a 20-something, skinny and short Asian guy the next. I then had her and I swear, she made me feel like I was the only one she'd ever made love to. She made me forget the previous guys - Being with her was that good.
One word of advice, just don't fall in love (which I, of course, never heed).

I think there are quite a few clubs you could go to. On the Rhine in Dusseldorf you have Dolce Vita and Living Room, in Cologne you have Samya... and a few more that are probably difficult to get to with public transportation. Note that these clubs aren't real FKK clubs, since the girls wear bikini's.
In Frankfurt Mainhattan and Palace are easiest...but if you are going during the day (or am I misunderstanding the 'skipping an excursion' statement) I would recommend Oase. It is half an hour by train (s-bahn) and is one of the biggest clubs around...with a very healthy daytime line up.
Your age shouldn't be a problem, some girls (usually quite new) might adjust there service levels (no kissing) with older gentlemen...but most don't really care as long as you're clean and respectful. You see this difference in treatment mostly in the Cologne/Dusseldorf clubs, I can only remember 1 girl in oase that held back on kissing in the main area because she didn't want 'everyone to see she kisses'.

Here is what matters:
1. You pay on time with no haggle
2. You are very clean
3. You are polite
4. Do no look like a rookie
5 You like to f. may girls
6. Amazingly many girls can take a liking to you despite being so high volume
7. I drive by the Rhein when I drive from Frankfurt to Brueggen. Maybe you are close to Koln then Samya
Close to Frankfurt, FKK Oase. Currently best club is Golden time in Brueggen.

The idea of substituting a shore excursion for a visit to an FKK is simply the best thing you could ever do! FKKs are the most wonderful places on earth (I think Disney has copy written "Happiest Place on Earth??). The only thing I am concerned about is the amount of time you have. I find that I enjoy rolling in early afternoon and I don't end up leaving until after midnight! I am there to soak up the ambiance, enjoy a couple ladies and just generally have a good time. I don't speak a lick of German, but I get by. At times I have used Spanish, or French but those are rare occasions, English is just fine.
The other threads are very accurate. While I have visited FRA many many times, I don't ever go to the big-name FKKs as I find them impersonal and full of "sharks". I have been to many in Bavaria, but my hands down favorite is FKK Feigenblatt in Worms. This place, is unlike the large places that charge 50-60 Euro entry and feature a nice buffet. It has a 15 E entry, no buffet and is a small cozy place. I have never had a bad experience and the girls are in no rush to separate you from your euros. I have found that to be the case in the larger busier places as the girls bounce from guy to guy trying to tantalize them with their wares. Worms is right on the river and it claims to be one of the oldest towns in GErmany next to Trier. I suspect your tour may stop there.
Of course, I have tried larger scale places on occasion. Colusseum (?) in Augsberg is nice, and when I am not out in the Rhineland to enjoy Feigenblatt, I tend to head to FKK Hawaii in Ingolstadt (home of Audi). This place has the 50 E entry and buffet, but is very relaxed and has a small FKK feel. However, I don't think Ingolstadt is on one of the rivers you mention.
Regensburg is a University town. I have never been to any FKKs but have had wonderful reports.

I would recommend FKK Mainhattan in Frankfurt for a short visit. 39 euro if you stay less than 2 hours, relaxed atmosphere and the girls are not sharky by and large, and as long as you can pay, the girls are accepting 
. Lot's of "experienced" players in the house.
