Any ladies or hobbiests have a recommendation on a burner phone in the triad area? For years I've used AT&T burner flip phones. They are compact, easy to hide and have worked well for me. Now, they are upgrading their system, so my current phone won't work after December and it appears that all the new phones are smartphones and quite a bit more expensive. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place or maybe I just need to look at another service provider. Ideas?

There are apps you can use to give you a different number.  If that is what you are worried about, you can use that app when contacting the ladies you wish to see.  I do not have a burner phone or the apps.  I have researched them though.

go to greatcall.com  they have very inexpensive plans for smart phones and flip phone.  There smart pphone aren't great but you can text and thats important in this hobby.  I use the smart phone and it has been great with lots of text allowed.

You should be able to get a T-Mobile SIM card and still use your old phone assuming they aren't doing the same upgrades. Another idea would be to buy a burner SIM card for a prepaid plan compatible with your current primary phone and swapping it out as needed. You can search for an MVNO guide to find compatible options.

I prefer the Verizon network myself and have an old 3G phone I use with Page Plus Cellular. They have some inexpensive options whether you buy a phone from them or get one elsewhere. Any Verizon compatible 3G or 4G phone works.

Good luck!

Google voice/hang outs on your phone works. It gives you a new number and you can turn it on and off when you want. Also the new I Phones have a finger key pad that no one can get into your phone but you.
