Gern90 ... how slowly did you graduate the intensity the second time you used the Zeus and had the "WOW" orgasm? Maybe you stimulated the nerves too much and became hyper~sensitive. I have been using various eStim / Tens Units and every attachment imaginable in my electro~play sessions and I find that ultra slow increases of intensity is better handled ... same thing with switching modes. Even the most impatient sub has learned that 'steady wins the race'. I hope you take a long enough break and give another go at. Maybe tried the pads again and see if you feel at least "something". Also you use plenty of  electro~stim gel or WATER based lube with any eStim play.

Can anyone give me some newbee tips on e stim?  The pads do nothing for me but maybe I'm not using them right so if anyone has some tips there, I'm listening.

I got the Zeus cock bands and the first time didn't do much.  Moving on, I'd cum within 18 hours or so and I tried them again and WOW!  I about came through the wall!!  Tried it again the next day and even at the lowest setting on the same stim setting it was WAY too much.  Again, even at the lowest setting.  More than 24 hours later and still, WAY too much even at the lowest Zeus setting.

Any tips from e stim vets

Should you try to get used to having the stimulation on another area first? Perhaps your nipples or inner thighs maybe to make sure you have full grasp on how the unit is operating so you don't overwhelm your nerves. I know that with many units you can control the length of the wave of electricity as well as the strength of it which can make a large difference in how it feels and is tolerated. I suggest playing around with this on a more tolerable area until you find a more happy medium. Electro-conduction gel is also very helpful in helping with flow of the current as well. You can easily find this for half the cost it would be on most adult sites on Amazon under health care.

If you still find it to be too much you may find a simple inexpensive Tens unit to be more to your liking with controls for both the length and strength of the the e-current and most you can set for anywhere from 5-30 minute intervals.

As a safety precaution please don't e-stim if you have any heart conditions, a pacemaker or electrical implants.

Happy E-stimming!

@trojanlarge - E-Stim is one of the many types of electric play (which can also include, but is not limited to: violet wand, abdominal muscle stimulator, electric fly swatter, electric dog collar, stun gun, electric cattle prods).  TENS Unit, Folsom, Rimba and PES are collectively e-stim from different manufacturers.

E-Stim is electrical sensation play, which can range from sensual to painful, depending on the person and the settings of the equipment.  You can do long or short pulses, and light (nice rhythmic pulsation) to medium (stronger, with a slight "bite") to intense/heavy (strong, with a stinging pain) sensations.  Some units allow it to cycle in different patterns (i.e., "yeah, yeah, yeah, OW!").  Basically, if you place the contact pads in the right areas, you create a series of muscular contractions/spasms at specific intervals which can induce one or more orgasms if you hit the right spot(s).

The way it works is that electrical current passes between two contact points, which can be on one attachment or two attachments.  The unit providing the electricity (the "e-" in e-stim) will either be a 9-volt battery or a wall plug (not both).  As previously mentioned, never run an electrical current across the chest or heart area, and never use an electrical toy near or in conjunction with water.  Know the medical condition of your play partner, and -- sorry -- if you have a known heart condition (pacemaker), "No electricity for you."  (in my best Soup Nazi voice)

For a guy, you might enjoy doing a catheter on one lead, and a butt plug on the other lead for your prostate.  Your issue might be that you're not completing the cycle with a second lead to create the electrical current that runs from Point A to Point B . . .?

I attached a nice link that I found that has a lot of FAQs about E-Stim

Yes, I gave it a go again the following day and used plenty of gel with that session and got much better results.  Thanks for the tips everyone!
