The area the bust took place is on the southside, in a very sketchy area..IMO. In fact the name of the road thru that area is nicknamed Ol' Nasty Hwy...
I havent posted in a over a year but have been on and off monitoring the boards. to answer your question, yes ATL is that hot right now... While some think it's business as usual, it feels like the surrounding areas of ATL are targeting agencies and high profile providers. (notice I said it feels as there isnt enough evidence to provide proof of anything)
I have been in and out of the hobby for the better part of 7 years now and it has never felt this "HOT" to me. Others perception may differ.
To be honest, no. Stings like this go down all the time in the shadier areas of Atlanta, probably like any other city. I've never had any problems, but I do screen quite thoroughly.

Some people are too big for their britches. Takes ONE mistake to take a whole city down, obviously. I think most are smarter than the average BEAR!
BIG place geographically. The CITY of Atlanta is only a small part. "Atlanta" is not AS big as Southern California - but the pattern is similar - lots of little towns and counties all mushed together with no real visible boundaries if you just look at the buildings.
There are a half dozen counties and literally dozens of cities - and dozens of police forces and jurisdictions. In this particular case, the city of College Park decided they were going to get some low hanging fruit - Street walker stings - motels. Honestly - my guess is that if you are on TER.... this is not activity that is going to affect you. There apparently were some citizen complaints because the street hookers were getting too bold. It happens. And if I had street hookers in my neighborhood - I would probably raise hell too - as would many others on this board.
This is sort of like someone in Newport Beach worrying about a sting in Compton....
I am not concerned - over and above exercising the discretion that any reasonable person should when seeing a lady. Others seem panicked - and presumably have decided that their risk/reward ratio is unfavorable. More for me! It is getting tedious though...
It was happening then and will continue to happen 10 years from now. The recent activities "in Atlanta" will not stop anything. Only slow things down temp. And make everyone screen better and the guys to do there homework better and scare them from places or people with a lot of activity. But just with the huge agency bust in 2013, the oldest profession around did continue on then and always will.
It's "easy money" and easy work for the county and less dangerous than them going after real felons and drugs or gangs. Which is the REAL PROBLEM in our state!!!! They should go after the hard work more often and get the drugs off the streets that is killing people. Ok my rant is over.

was caused by all the openness and big groups in a small area. I don't think anyone has problems that does their home work and uses 411 and reviews . Don't wear a location out. No sex talk or money talk and use as little communication as possible. LE can't justify 10 to catch 1 escort and one or 2 clients. When I take a date to a hotel I never have a problem and never even thought about one.. Most hotels want the business if your discrete. Got to know the hotel clerks when I was using the hotels regular.
Of all the things that they should be worrying about, they decide to focus on whores and mongers? Ugh.
You know, the human trafficking headline. Makes the public think they are truly doing there job. And they can't even stop real human trafficking. If they go after the people that force ladies into this they have my full support. But that would mean they would have to do real work and they can't have that can they? We are here by choice. There are so many other crimes that truly hurt this world they could be investing their time in! That's the part that makes me sick.
