Tree mode in this new version is like tree mode in the old version which was the default mode. However, you don't have to open every reply. This version opens all the replies. Like the old version side branches of the discussion move slightly to the right. You can switch tree mode and flat mode by looking to the right just under the "+New Thread" button and clicking on the one you want. I recommend Tree mode.
1. I use Win10 and its Edge browser. For some reason it randomly "forgets" that I've viewed a post. Normally a viewed post is highlighted with a different color. Some may be highlighted for a few days then go back to the "unread" color. Anyone else having this problem.
2. The old TER sequenced the board threads based on the original post date/time stamp. The new version seems to sequence the threads based upon the most recent post. Example: Last week's Friday Shill returned to the top of the list when Kerri made a reply post today.
For me, the combination of these 2 is making it a little difficult to sort out what I've seen. Otherwise, I'm good with the new format.
Just like with the old format, I am getting my eyes trained on where to look for things I wish to see. One thing that I've liked seeing is that a lot of features are now combined into one site (mobile vs classic/desktop). I use the site entirely on my mobile device. Where before the mobile friendly site did not allow viewing of the discussion and ad boards, I had to constantly switch to the classic, or what I called the desktop site if I wanted to view those two areas. Now it is all combined and I only have the one site with the new format/layout for all. A big plus IMO.
