whether you think they are relevant or not, dying at 47 isn't a good thing.

He's had cancer for the past 3 years. He's had time to prepare for his death, as his fans have had as well. Where have you been?

Wow, that was a surprise.  47 is way too young...I'm pouring out a little Brass Monkey for my homie.

Having time to prepare doesn't make it any less sad that someone died so young.

Yes, it does make it less sad that someone MIDDLE-AGED with cancer died. That's the whole point of HAVING TIME TO PREPARE for someone's imminent death.
